We thought this would be a hollow mantel for the price, but it is fully wood. The install was very simple and the mantel itself is very sturdy. It looks better than we had hoped.

This mantel was the perfect addition for our new fireplace makeover. I ordered the 72" x 3" thick mantel and I could not be happier. Excellent quality & finish. It was exactly what I was hoping for. Easy to install.I did purchase larger cabinet bolts only because the heads on the screws supplied were beveled and not flat. I did not want that to interfere with the mantel sitting flush to the wall. I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone looking for a great mantel to finish off your fireplace!!

Love this mantel! Easy to install with a wooden lip type piece to mount on the wall and place the mantel right over the mounted piece. Stays in place and hasn’t moved. We mounted it above our 62” fireplace. The total width of our shiplap build is 80” wide just to give a visual. Looks like real wood with the unique grooves.

Exactly what I wanted and great for price

These have a nice finish on them and are lightweight for easy installation onto the French cleat and are pinned from underneath with two screws. Their appearance is very nice and the two that I installed for this client installed easily.

Update: Wow, I was very impressed with the customer service. I reached out directly to the email provided in the packaging. They responded immediately to me and provided multiple solutions. Sending a new mantle. I’ll update new pictures when it comes, but I’m very hopeful!Upon first inspection, I was initially impressed. It was a solid piece of wood, and the stain color was exactly what I wanted. However, once I looked at it closely, I saw that the stain was very inconsistent, and there were spots that there was almost no stain. Additionally, there were clearly blemishes on the front face of it that were filled with wood glue, and stained, which just doesn’t look good. And then, most importantly, when I hung up the mantle, it is not level from front to back. The front end hangs about a half inch lower than the wall side. This is not related to installation as the hardware gets attached directly to the wall on the mantle slides onto it. It looks absurd, and it is so severe that things would actually probably slide off. The installation instructions did have an email address to contact with any problems which I did reach out to them. I’m waiting to hear back and will adjust my review if necessary to reflect good customer service.
