Fast, has PCIe for SSD, etc.
Keep in mind, the Raspberry Pi series are aimed at hardware and IOT hobbyist, not simply as a cheap desktop. It's all about access and control of external devices. As of this writing, this is the fastest, newest version, and it rocks. A really nice step up from the RPi4, especially if you're starting to get into machine learning and AI. If you don't need that speed, the RPi4 is now an amazing bargain!

Perfect replacement for PI 4
PI 4 worked / works still great but PI 5 is way faster - and the NVMe SSD in PCIe M.2 hat really makes a difference! Running it in GeeekPi Metal Case for Raspberry Pi 5 - gets a little hot but allowing some air under, not too hot! Just cant wait PI 6, etc!

Great little setup for Linux/Python
Runs well at 2.4 GHz. I wasn't able to overclock mine to 3 GHz, got no screens instead, but then again this was designed for 2.4 GHz. 8GB RAM is good, although in the future I'd prefer 12-16GB RAM for more intensive Python scripting and perhaps a 3 GHz+ ARM processor. Right now scripting can use 50% of the RAM, which works good enough. No issues with setup, the Pi OS (Debian like) is flawless and easier than Ubuntu for sure. One thing the Pi OS works right out of the box with VNC! Ubuntu can be a PITA with VNC. Either way, good product at a reasonable price. Great as an affordable Linux server running Python scripts. Recommended.

Completely new to Linux and Pi but I like it.
I have been able to do everything I have set out to do with this little computer••• eventually. I have made a legitimate desktop out of it and an amazing media renderer. Both were more than I expected.I have had to fumble my way through the whole process of making it work.I would note that the Raspberry Pi 5 is so new and works enough differently from previous versions that most advice out there is wrong. I believe this will change as those who are more experienced than I have time to sort it out.Often learning the hard way is the best teacher.

Great value for money
Great value for money, the performance is ok for small tasks. It’s small so that i can fit in tight spaces. It used linux as os, a bit difficult for newbie but with the help of ChatGPT, it’s not too bad. It got enough ports for normal usage and the most important thing is it got a gigabit lan port for stable network connection.

Works
Build quality, support, forums, tutorials, etc... are a much better experience from other SBCs. I do wish that a micro-hdmi adapter came with it, but I had one and the chords are inexpensive.I have other SBCs that are sitting on a shelf because software hasn't been written. Understandable, but projects stall or change. Very nice to move forward with few, if any, issues. Sounds odd, but it's a motivating change.

Love it
To put it in perspective a bit, The previous Raspberry Pi 4B with a BCM2711 has a Passmark benchmark score of 852, while the RPi 5 with the BCM2712 has a score of 3236, which is about a 380% increase over its predecessor. In fact, its score is only 16% lower than the Intel Celeron that powers my pfSense router/firewall box. And with the ability to add an NVMe drive, this is a surprisingly capable SBC.As an added bonus, you can mount the NVMe board underneath the main board, leaving room for heatsinks/fans up top, as well as other HATs (I have a PoE HAT on mine so I don't have to worry about finding space to plug it into a power strip).Looking for a reason to buy one but can't justify it? So was I. I have plans though. I can't talk about it yet. Let's see if I finish it first. :)
