They're rack rails - for servers
Updating my reviewThey're server rack rails - and that's exactly what the description says they are -I wanted audio rack rails and didn't read the description close enough, bought them and then posted a mildly negative review. Updating the review to 5 stars because they ARE exactly as advertised! The only issue was my failure to read the description!fwiw, Audio rails are #10 screws, These are #12 and I needed #10.Know what you want, read the ad, get the right thing. I didn't. My fault. Duohh!

rails are tapped at 10-32
The equipment screws are 12-24 as advertised, however the rails are tapped at 10-32. When i contacted customer service at RackPath they blew me off saying i should just "force" then in, claining the pain was the problem. I tried as suggested the result was damaged threads on both the equipment screw and the rail. to solve my problem I purchased a large box of 10-32 screws from local hardware store since RackPath customer service was unsupportive. Hope this help inform others

Solid, strong, good finishing, no spots for cage nuts
I recently ordered a bunch of rack path gear (open cage, drawer, ...) and got these rails because I am so impressed with the quality of the other rackpath gear. These rails meet my expectations for rackpath - which are fairly high expectations. The threaded holes on the one side are great. I kind of like using cage nuts, not sure why, but these threaded holes are really winning me over because there's no fiddling around with cage nuts. Yeah, that totally makes no sense. I think I just have a desire to use all those cage nuts I've collected over the years even though they can be such a pain.

great install
great install all though use self tapping metal screws because the ones that come with strip threads easily
