I drive a tractor trailer. I have the camera mounted on the rear of my trailer. There is approximately 55 feet between the monitor and camera. With a full charge easily last more than 16 hours of driving. The monitor has a battery indicator for the camera and also an indicator showing solar charging. The camera magnet is super strong. I’m very impressed and I plan to buy another one.

***UPDATE*** After only a few months of using this camera, it has become almost useless to me. It used to work great as far as the signal from the camera to the monitor goes, however, now it rarely works. It used to come in & out as I was driving sometimes, but would always work once I stopped or even slowed down, but not anymore. Even when I stop, it still doesn’t show a picture on the monitor. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING THIS CAMERA. VERY DISAPPOINTED.I am using this camera for my tractor trailer to see if there’s anything behind me, and to help judge distance when backing into spots. I really like this camera, except the battery life. It states that you have 12 hours of night driving & 16 hours when it’s solar charging. I don’t think I can even get 10 hours in the sun. I am keeping this camera, just have to use it sparingly, but it would be nice if what they put in the description is true
