I was a little nervous when I saw the included piece of sandpaper. Once I opened the packaging and realized what it was, i became super ecstatic. This stand is raw wood which means you can make it your own! You can stain it, paint it, or just throw a coat of poly on it. You can even just leave it as is if you like the raw, unfinished wood look. It was very simple to put together and fits my 15.6" laptop without an issue and remains sturdy. It is portable! It easily comes apart so it will fit in my laptop bag for when i travel. The lower slot is very functional. I use the lower area to hold the dock for my laptop so when I want to attach monitors, I can with ease. I will be ordering more to customize for each of my laptops for both at home and at my office.

I wanted a wood stand and bamboo is a great sustainable option. For those complaining about the dowels not fitting: Bamboo is really soft. If you apply pressure, the dowels will kind of mush into the hole which actually makes it stay in place better. I think that's the design. They aren't cut too small. It doesn't even require much upper body strength to do it. So don't freak out if they seem small. Gt a little shove and you will be fine. This one perfectly fits a 16" Lenovo. My 13" would not fit on this and would fall off so I don't think it's actually universal unless you wanted to pull out a saw and shorten the dowels and since you couldn't figure out that they just need to be shoved in, you probably don't have tools either. Good luck. Buy this if you are smart and have a 15" or larger laptop.

The stand is sturdy however the notch on the left to keep the laptop in place came broken. It was just package is a plastic wrap with no box. I was able to adjust the sides to be able to better support my smaller laptop.

The product arrived with inadequate fitting. Not able to assemble. Returning item for refund.

Love the color and the stability. I have a 15" MacBook pro and it fits like a glove. Great buy!

Easy to put together. It is very stable once you have a laptop on it. It has added a lot of extra space on my desk. I use an additional keyboard with my laptop, so my favorite part is being able to slide that keyboard up under the laptop.

Uniquely made and good quality. Fits my laptop nicely.

About what you would expect at this price point. The stand works fine and looks ok. Maybe I'll get bored and stain/coat it one day.
