Couldn't be easier
Just plug it in the line you want to delay. I used it to delay my air conditioner and give my circulation fan a chance to start early. Trying to reduce the overall load at startup....Works great.

Did not work
Did not add any delay at all when used on 120V AC circuit regardless of the setting on the knob. Not sure if I got a defective one. Yes I cut the wire per the instructions. Will be returning.

Does what it is suppose to do
Used for a science project for my son. It does exactly what it is supposed to do, delays the power transmission based on what setting you are using on the timer. Amazon has the best pricing.

Time Delay for compressor
The QD-068 time delay is easy to use. My old AC unit's compressor time delay board went bad, and finding a replacement part was difficult. I used the QD-068 as a substitute, and it works perfectly. However, you need to be cautious when connecting the wires—make sure to double-check the load and incoming connections on the delay. It's always a good practice to keep the main power off while working with electrical components.
