BKT1 - Basics of Keyboard Theory - Level 1

Great Introduction to Music Theory!
I've been teaching piano lessons for 5+ years now, and these are the best books I've found to help introduce music theory concepts to students (notes, scales, key signature, time signatures, terminology, etc.). This is great for any musician or singer, not just pianists. The books are thorough, engaging, and have a lot of activities to ensure students understand the concepts. I like to sit down with students and walk through the lessons with them. This is technically the second level of this series (the first is Level "Preparatory"), but I think most students would be fine to start here instead, since a lot of this book is as introductory as the Prep level.

Useful for learning basic theory
I am a beginning piano student and these books were recommended to me by one of my teachers. If you are interested in learning music theory and are self-motivated. I'd highly encourage you to look into these. The books have various chapters on different topics, review sections and a review test at the end of each book. This level one book covers the following: Letter Names of Notes, Sharps, Flats and Naturals, Half Steps and Whole Steps, Intervals, Major Key Signatures C, G, D, and F, Major Scales: C, G, D, and F, C, G, and F Major and minor Five FInger Patterns and Triads, D, A, D and B flat Major and minor Five Finger Pattern and Triads, Triads of the Scale, Primary Triads, Time Signatures, Signs and Terms, Motif and Repetition. I only wish it also came with a subscription to an online theory program!

The best of all piano theory
This set of books is the best of any I have come across for my piano students. If they do at least through Book 5, they can get into and pass the first year of college theory. If they do at least book 7, they can challenge the first year of college theory! Expensive, but worth the money for them to truly understand theory if they are a serious student of keyboard music or wish to be a music major on the college level.

Great for basics. Easy to follow.
I am a new student to piano playing. This book is great for learning the basics of keyboard theory (as the title suggests) and was recommended as a supplement to me by my piano teacher. It is fairly easy to follow. The only drawback is that there are no answers sheets, so if you are trying to do this on your own, you can not tell if you are correct or not. Luckily, I have my piano teacher to review my work. It's a nice little inexpensive way to learn a little about music. I had no issues with packaging/shipping/delivery.
