Dumbbells are great. The weights are nice and semi smooth with light grippy texture. I bought two 5lb weights and the colors are so nice. It is worth the price.

These weights are 5 pounds so they are light but my husband is 77 years old and the weights are great for him as a beginner, we will buy 10 next when he is ready, so far we are happy with this weights

I was going to physical therapy and they recommend I use one pound weights. They suggest use a soup can, I find that a little uncomfortable so I bought the ones that they had a physical therapy and I just love them. I was going to buy them at a retail sport Box Store but when I looked on Amazon you got two for the price of their one. Highly recommend!

Nice material that doesn't hurt your hands when lifting. The color for the 8 pound weights isn't a hot pink color though, it's more of a fuchsia color so if you're going for a certain pink aesthetic with your equipment or gym then just be aware.

After reading reviews of other brands where the weights were off, I chose this brand of dumbbell, hoping the weights ran true. Overall I was quite pleased. Weighing each of 6 pairs of dumbbells on a digital scale, here is what I found. The 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 pound dumbbells were all well within 1/10th of a pound of each other. Some were amazingly close. For instance, the 1 pounders weighed-in at 0.99 and 1.02. The 2 pounders at 2.12 and 2.10 - pretty amazing. The 5 pounders should have had a wider variance, but both weighed-in at 4.97 Lbs! It was the 8 pounders that were off: 8.10 and 7.40 a difference of 0.7 Lbs. That just under 9% variance. 9% variance on a 1 Lb. weight would be less than a 1/10th of a pound difference between them. Curling the 8 Lb. DB's, I can just perceive which one is heavier.During normal workouts, the 0.7 Lb. difference would make no difference. However, I am using the 5 Lb. and 8 Lb. DB's for Senior Fitness Testing against national norms. I will contact the manufacturer and see if he'll replace the 7.4 Lb DB. But on the whole I am pleased with the entire set. The vinyl coating is attractive and emits no smell I can detect.

We got these so that my 5 year old could work out with Mommy and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the weights, they hold up and have really good grip to them.

I've ordered various brands of coated dumbbells & these are the most bizarre. The ends are huge & not the same shape as other brands. The handle is not just slightly curved for comfort, they are comically curved such that they feel odd in the hand.There is also a split in the coating already even though the shipping package was not damaged. So there is a manufacturing flaw.I regret buying these.
