excellent value for this level
I've used this level for several jobs around my home (non-commercial use) and it's performed very well. I've set the layout of a new shop building, shot the elevations and set the grade for new building. I've had good results from all the tasks I needed to do, which was a pleasant surprise. I was halfway expecting an inaccurate tool since the price was relatively low compared to other auto-levels. Others have mentioned a problem attaching to their tripods. I have a Johnson tripod and it attached with no issues. Overall I'm very pleased with this purchase.

a good instrument for the money
I would have given this 5 stars, but it would not thread on to my tripod. there was paint and metal bits from tooling the base in the first two threads and the bolt wouldn't go past 1 1/2 turns. Their tech guy said to get a 5/8-11 bolt from the hardware, which I did, and with a little marvel mystery oil I was able to work the bolt through the mount and it threads fine now.

Economical Autolevel
This is an okay level. I would recommend it for non critical dimension. Getting shots along a 300' circuit you can expect a EOC of 0.03'

Poor quaility Control.
The front alignment sight was missing front glass and the glue that was applied to secure the glass was globed and smeared on edge. No front glass was found in bag and suspect glass was not in place at the factory. Very obvious it was defective and clearly very poor quality control. The threads on the base looked awful and I suspect the threads might not have worked anyway. Unit sent for return.Update. Yes the threads are damaged as well.

Great around the house.
Good for me at the house. I would not bring it to a multi million dollar construction site. Get a real one.

Great value if the accuracy meets your tolerances
I received this level as a Christmas gift from my wonderful wife. The product is described as a survey auto level high precision. Here’s my initial comments regarding the level. The level case is well built and holds the level tightly in place with molded foam. Case quality is comparable to more expensive survey/construction grade level cases. Includes hex wrench for bubble adjustments. The level has the same features as professional survey grade levels, including a plum bob and hanger to position the level directly above a point. The level is lighter than expensive levels, which could be good or bad. Don’t worry about the rattle noise you hear while taking it out of the case, it’s the compensator trying to function. Unlike others have commented, the unit threaded perfectly onto the Bosch aluminum tripod companion gift I received. In the manual, accuracy is listed as 0.3” (0.025’). But it doesn’t include at what distance this accuracy applies to. I suspect it’s 100’. Regardless, this is well below professional level accuracy. I ran a few checks and found it accurate to 0.032’ in 150’, thats a bit more than 3/8” in 150’. At 75’, accuracy was about half (about 3/16”). Accuracy gets better as you decrease the distance from the level. For my purposes, 75’ is more than I need to grade. If I need to shoot more than 75’, I’ll add a turning point. I will note the bubble level moved very slightly off center when I rotated the level 90 degrees. But the entire bubble remained within the circle. Given this, I doubt any bubble level adjustment would improve accuracy.Based on my initial observations, I give it 4 stars. The unit is very sensitive. I believe this is due to the light weight construction. But if you are careful when using it, store it in the case and don’t toss it into your truck, it should last for years. And limit the distance you are elevating to 75’ maximum, unless 3/8” over 150’ is within your tolerance. At $90, if you can accept the accuracy limits, you should consider this level. I didn’t give it 5 stars because I think the description is a bit misleading. If I run a level loop, I’ll revise this review accordingly.
