Great, great
Exactly what I needed. I ordered another one to match the sink on the other side. Super easy installation.

Quality product
Liked that it was all made of medal, rather than plastic parts. This was a direction given to me by a friend who also is a plumber. The catch basket was a plus. The stopper seemed to be a little large, but it wasn't a deal breaker. Suggestion: some sinks are designed with an overflow at the front of the basin, so make sure to order it with overflow, because all photos show the overflow at the back of the basin. So make sure you buy the overflow model.NO PLASTIC PARTS .

Excellent bathroom sink drain
This bathroom sink drain is very well built and the metal finish looks great. It was easy to install. The pop up function is a nice feature since it lets the gathered debris to be cleaned out.

'Made for overflow sinks' but my overflow sink was too thick for the parts included.
Had a little more trouble with this install than anticipated. While this was a fairly easy install for me, the hiccups I experienced may complicate a DIY project enough to require someone else to call a plumber or give up entirely. In all, the installation complications were:• Top silicon gasket pushed through the upper hole while I was torqueing down the nut from the other side. Since any leaks from the top will be blocked by the bottom gasket and simply join the overflow water back into the down tube, I did not goop things up with plumber's putty or silicon (at this time).• I had to chop the large brass nut to about half its length. Otherwise there were zero threads for the downtube to attach to.• Due to the downtube attaching the way it does, my previous plumbing was not compatible and so a second downtube with a compression coupler had to be sourced in order to interface with this new tube. What I like ~• It looks very good ~ the button's size seems to be double that of the one I replaced but I have already gotten used to it.• It's nearly 100% brass, chrome, stainless steel, and silicon ~ these parts should last a very long time.• The button is completely protected from harm during shipping and installation so that you have an almost flawless/scratch free install when finished. "Bright Chrome" at its finest.• The included polishing glove is a handy touch.• The little basket strainer design that requires no tools to retrieve is very clever.• No leaks so far, if you do not count the button still requiring adjustment to 'plug' properly. What I do not like ~• The instructions are in a tiny book containing all kinds of products. You will find this product's instructions on page 22, IIRC. In spite of so many pages, the unrelated / useless information means the font and diagrams are much smaller than they have any business being.• The installation complications mentioned earlier.• I won't be deducting points for this one but: While this is a quality button plug design, I have decided that levers are superior to plug designs. I'll rather deal with the occasional clogged drain if it means I won't have to put my clean hands into dirty water to operate the drain so often.

Better than expected.
This is the best drain I have ever had. All metal and the packaging even comes with white gloves for fingerprints. Packaging was easy to open. Product works better that expected. And it is only $10 more that a plastic drain pop up.

A well constructed sink drain that should last many years
I am a do it myself type and have replaced numerous bathroom vanities, sinks, faucets and drains. I recently purchased a black bathroom faucet and wrote my review and also scanned other peoples reviews and was surprised by how many people didn't like the plastic drain tube that typically comes with a bathroom faucet kit. I tried to think back to when I ever installed a brass sink drain and I couldn't ever remember having a brass sink drain.Wouldn't you know it ,the Amazon folks were listening to my brain waves and here pops up a brass sink drain in black that perfectly matches the faucet I just had purchased. Amazon knows me well and I couldn't resist trying this product out to see if there is much difference between the plastic ones and this brass one. Here are my thoughts on the AULEEND Bathroom Sink Drain:1) The sink drain is solidly built and feels sturdier and heavier than the plastic ones. Once installed I don't think anyone will notice this but it certainly will allow one not to worry about the drain wearing out any time soon. I really like the brass feel to it.2) The biggest feature for me is the basket that catches hair, the penny that somehow falls in, the misses wedding ring etc. This feature is amazing and works great. All you need to clean this out is your hand. You pull up on the stopper and it pulls out with the basket and you can clean it up and reinstall. Now don't drop your diamond ring while the basket is out getting cleaned! :>)3) I know that many do not install these things on a regular basis and the directions may be confusing. I have put up a pic with my scribbles on it to help you on the install of the unit. It really should not take more than 10 minutes to install. The hardest part is removing all the junk from under your vanity so you can get in to remove the trap to begin. Installation is very typical, you take out the old one and clean up the sink. Take the drain tube, nut and seal off the bottom and set the top portion down through the top of the sink. slide the seal back on underneath in the vanity, and screw back on the nut until snug (Hand tight on the bottom. Put back on the drain tube and don't forget the drain tube gasket and then reattach the S trap (drain pipe). You shouldn't need any special tools unless the old sink drain is stuck on and hard to release. The biggest question in my mind is this: Is it worth another $50 to go with a brass drain tube over the plastic ones that come with your faucet? That one you will have to decide on your own. For myself I do think the basket is worth it. I don't know how many times I have had to pull the trap apart to unclog it from the girls long hair or the boys who just think it is a blast to see what they can get to go down the drain. For this product it is excellent in design and quality so I do recommend this product if you are needing to replace or just want a higher quality sink drain.

Strong and durable
What I love about this sink valve is that it’s matte black and not made of plastic. It’s made of real durable metal parts that are strong. I love the push to close/open feature. It’s quite bigger than I expected so make sure to measure and check sizing. Otherwise a really well made product!
