I wouldn't call it space saving compared to washer dryer combos available these days. But it's worth it if you consider the benefits it has over these combo machines. First benefit is the very less impact on clothes wear and tear caused by heat - because the washtower generates lesser heat in comparison.Second benefit is the time it takes to dry the clothes is better (refer to YouTube comparison videos).Additionally, you can run two loads at a time. One load in washer and the other in dryer. Adding to it is the simplicity of the controls provided by LG. I just purchased this beast. But will provide more details after a month of usage.

Single unit washer 13 kg & dryer 10 kg, very useful in day to day house operations. Power saving is also there. Working cycle is low as compared to other models. The quality of dryer is paper dry. Thanks to LG for making this product available in India.
