Will the storage tray scratch the dash or is there soft edges or pads on the bottom?

No pads, but it's a great fit. It dosent rattle or shake. Iam sure over time it may cause some wear but you can put some 3m felt tape if concerned.

Hi. only the edge on the PVC mat is in brown, and the majority of the PVC mat is in black.
