Do these mitts have the ball shape in the palm area like in the ringside panther mitts?

No, they do not. They are slightly curved on the inside, but without any ball shape to grip. But these are excellent mitts. I’ve owned a pair for about five years, and even though I usually only use them to warm up my fighters before bouts now, I still love to bring them out and use them at the gym from time to time. They’re my favorite after my custom-made pair.

Is the suede insert susceptible to odor? I’m guessing sweat sticks to the suede

Just don’t leave it in your vehicle or gym bag. Spray some Lysol in there and let them air dry and no problem. I have a 6 year old pair that smell like nothing and I coach in a boxing gym for a living.
