We bought these because our cat likes to sit in an open window, but I didn't trust the flimsy screens in the big windows of our old house to be sturdy enough to prevent her from falling. As a result we could only crack our windows open an inch or two when the weather was nice.I got these 15" inserts and they work great! They seat into the tracks of the window which makes them feel very sturdy - I can press quite a bit on them and they don't budge, even moreso once the window is closed down on top of them. I don't worry at all now if our cat were to lean a bit of her weight on it, and it feels safer knowing these are acting as a "first line of defense."Luckily our cat doesn't try to escape windows, climb them, or claw at them, so I can't speak to the durability there. The screens do feel a bit thin so I imagine a determined cat could slice through them.They're very easy to take in an out and they work just fine for what we needed them for.

I replaced my old metal mesh and wood screens with this. The quality is high and the adjustable fiberglass mesh makes it lightweight but strong. I will buy again.

These screens are okay. They adjust to the size needed and are fairly easy to place in the window. However even when we think we have a snug fit around all sides, tiny bugs still come in, especially at night. I send one order back and kept one just to use during the day when needed.

Does exactly as I need it to ; it keeps the bugs out and lets me have much needed fresh air! I have heavy hung windows that close vertically and there's no net to keep out bugs and small animals but this product has done the trick. This screen is strong enough to hold my hung window open and I have not had any issues.

I am so so happy with this product. My apartment complex removed my window screens, planning to replace them, but is taking far too long. My cat enjoys the breeze and here in Texas the time is short for enjoying the spring weather before it gets too hot. These screens are easily installed and easily removed, very attractive, and allows my cat to enjoy the spring breezes. Highly recommend
