Even though we put a gate in at the top of the stairs our dog, Mabel was jumping right through the railings and she is so fast she escaped out the door twice. She is a rescue and not trained so just kept running. I feared she would be hit by a car. After research I purchased this Balcony netting because I thought it would look a bit better as well as hold up because of it being nylon rope. After a bit of figuring and adjusting, my husband and I got it up and secured. It is Mabel proof. We no longer have to worry about the dog escaping through the slats in the railing.
