This filter fit and may be okay, but it came open, unsealed and not in any type of box. Will stick with the Kenmore one from now on

This filter fits my Whirlpool WRS321SDHB01 and for the longest while I have been buying these filters online. They are a usually a bit on the pricey side, were usually only available in pairs and not as widespread as I would normally like. This has started to change now with these now to be found pretty easily. This was offered to me as an Amazon Vine Voice totally by chance so I jumped at the opportunity. This was the first time I was seeing a single filter for under $20. This seems to be a well put-together product. It feels nicely weighted - I have no idea if that is a sign of quality, but it can't hurt, right? It fits right into the filter slot without any fuss or leaks. Whenever a new filter is inserted it is customary to run the water dispenser for a little while so that the residual charcoal in the filter can be expelled. There is usually initial darkening of the water but this is totally normal. it did not take long for the water to clear up, and the water tastes as fresh as ever. The Verdict: I recommend this filter because the price is comparatively reasonable, if you want to spend under $20. However, if you are a value shopper, there are filters on the market that come in packs of 2 and 3 that may be more expensive overall, but are cheaper on a per unit basis. That's commerce for you, so it's no indictment on the vendor. Buy with confidence.

I needed a new water filter for my Whirlpool refrigerator. After suffering from sticker shock from an OEM filter, I decided to look elsewhere. Due to the more reasonable price point, I decided to try the Drinkclear Refrigerator Water Filter Replacement for EDR1RXD1, P8RFWB2L, and W10295370A. The filter looks exactly like my OEM filter and fit into the filter slot without challenge.Our tap water is clear, but has a very strong chlorine taste and smell, along with a soapy aftertaste from the phosphates and chemicals the city uses to process the tap water. After installing the new filter, the water came out of the dispenser clear, with no chemical smell or taste. The soapy aftertaste is still there, but it is not as bad as the tap water. That said, per the Amazon ad, the filter is made out of premium coconut shell, activated .5 micron carbon block, and is advertised to filter out: contaminants, odor, lead, mercury, harmful heavy metals, and 98% chlorine.Overall, the Drinkclear Refrigerator Water Filter Replacement for EDR1RXD1, P8RFWB2L, and W10295370A fits and functions as advertised, with no leaking. The water comes out of the water dispenser clear, with no chlorine smell or taste. Some of the soapy aftertaste is still there, but in fairness, the filter is not advertised to improve taste, only to remove odors, chlorine, heavy metals and contaminants. That said, ultimately, if I wanted a filter that improves taste, I should have ordered a filter that include taste improvement as a feature of their filter. Therefore, despite being disappointed, the filter functions exactly as advertised, I am giving it five stars.
