Very Good overall
Very Good Quality, nice and clean manufacturing, good packaging.I purchased this Kit to replace the OEM Clutch on the OEM Sanden A/C Compressor Model No 4852on a 2002 Jeep Liberty Limited with the 3.7L V6 enginewith the original Serpentine Belt configuration 6K875 (6-rib, 87.5" = 2223 mm) andthe Original size (90 mm Dia) Smooth PULLEY on the Belt Tensioner.Technical Note: other Dodge / Jeep applications with the 3.7L V6 or 4.7L V8 engines may use a slightly different configuration, such as: 125 mm Dia for the ribbed Pulley of the Compressor Clutch, or 72 mm (3") Dia for the Smooth Pulley on the Belt Tensioner together with a shorter Serpentine Belt: 6K862 (6-rib, 86.2" = 2190 mm)This A/C Clutch Kit is identical at first sight with the OEM and it is almost perfect. The PLUS:- 130 mm Dia for the Ribbed Pulley; the pressed-in Bearing seem to be of a good quality; will see how well and how long it will last.- Font Flex Plate of the same 106 mm Dia- package of 4 (four) Shims of different thicknessThe MINUS:- The Hub of the OEM Front Flex Plate is Splined and it is Keyed in one place to fit with the corresponding splines of the main shaft of the Compressor. The Splines in the Hub of the A-Premium Front Flex Plate are all the same (wider) size with the Keyed Spline. That means it will slide and fit in any position on the Shaft; by comparison, the OEM will fit in only 1 (one) position. I hope this is not going to affect the functionality and durability of the Clutch Assembly in the long run.- the Shims do not fit as they are, out of the packaging. The inner Dia is correct, but the Outer Dia is a little bit too large and they do not fit / fall inside the Hub of the Front Flex Plate.I used some of the leftover shims that I had saved from a previous job and still needed to add one or two shims. I had no choice than to do the tedious job of using a file around the Outer Dia to bring two of the Shims down in size until they fit inside the Splines. See the corresponding picture among the attached pictures; the Upper set of Shims is the larger A-Premium set and that makes a whole difference. Think about having to file them all... if you don't have any other spares.Installation completed. So far the A/C Clutch seem to be working just fine and the Compressor provides the needed cooling. Will update the posting if anything changes.PS: be aware that this job requires technical knowledge, mechanical experience and the some proper tools: Set of C-Clip Pliers (the typical kit available in most auto parts stores or heardware stores is just not good enough), a Rubber Mullet, a Pulley Puller (to grab and pull from the Outer Dia), a Pulley Installer set (or any other bushings or short pieces of pipe to properly drive-in the Inner Race of the Bearing in the Ribbed Pulley. I also had to remove the Radiator Fan assembly to make more space available to work and see what I am doing (just a folding mirror and a compact flashlight were not enough).
