An interesting, personal, and well researched look at 8 Bit computers through the 1980’s.
An easy-to-read book, with well researched facts and figures. Good colour pictures of iconic computers of the time, along with the published adverts help keep the book interesting and fresh. This book really brings back the fun memories I have of the computer scene during the 80’s.If you enjoy 8-bit retro nostalgia this is a great coffee table book. Well recommended!

Everything you wanted to know about 8 bit computers
A very interesting book, full of facts and stories about home computers in the 1980s. If you owned one, it will be in here. I didn’t realise there were so many different machines available. Some were very popular and lasted for years, others came and went in a short space of time. If you are of a certain age, it’s well worth a read and it’s amazing what you can remember.

Well researched as well as personal
A really enjoyable read. A mix of personal experience from the author (feel sorry for his brow beaten Mum) and some well researched chapters about the 8 bit era of computing.I remember being a child at the time so a lot of it is familiar to me, but I learned a lot as well. Some amazing old adverts in there for good measure too.If you want a general easy read, or want to know more about this era of retro, then the book is good for both!

Typical self published.
Spelling mistakes, huge areas of blank spaces, doesn't appear to follow any timeliness. There are some good memories within the book, however it is virtually unreadable due to all the errors.
