I installed them 2 months ago to secure my pool encolsure so my child will not wonder outside on her own..Well built, okay for outdoor.. no rusts noted since I installed it..

I really liked this lock because of its unique design for installing a strong locking bolt to secure an outdoor shed or gardening cabinet. It's simple and straight-forward with a 4 number combination tumbler arrangement and the bolt is a good size to discourage the random thief.The combination can be set to any 4 numbers you want by removing the plastic spacer at the back of the bolt, opening the bolt using the existing combination, lifting the bolt's knob up and over the key where the spacer was, and then resetting the numbers to those you desire. I put all this in to hopefully help future buyers because the instructions included are in Chinese! Pictures are, fortunately, included but it does take some mechanical know-how to figure this out.The exterior of this lock is well done with what looks like a nice electro-coating to deter corrosion.The one thing to keep in mind is that this lock should probably not be used for securing things of high value and should probably be used more for just keeping people out of your things; like with a garden shed or child-proofing your cabinets. The lock and the opposite bolt-hole attachment are only secured to the door and wall by normal phillip's head screws that are easily accessible and can be easily removed. This will easily allow anyone with screwdriver to get pass this if they want to. But used in the right situation, this is a nice way to lock up something.

I did not like the instructions in Chinese. The information on Amazon from the manufacturer site is also not helpful in resettling the code from its initial setting of 0000. In order to change the code which you should do, you need to first remove the small spacer at the end of the device. After removing it you can pull the knob all the way over to where the spacer was. Then use the dials to change the code. Finally move the knob all the way back to the other way (closed) and the new code is set. Other than that issue the lock is great and very sturdy.

I have built a couple of boxes in my shop for different tools to be stored in. I built one just as a lock box, mini footlocker (24 x 24 x 24). I used this lock on it. This is more of a keep the kids out of the box than it is a high security lock. I keep the smaller but sharper tools in the lock box as a safety feature with the kids around. It was easy to install and set the numbers for the combo. I’m a big guy at 6’5” and it was easy to spin the number dial to open the lock. I thought the price point was reasonable. I am happy with it. For my purposes I would use it again.

Une serrure de porte à chiffres que je trouve être une excellente idée pour éviter la perte qui nous arrive souvent avec les clés...Cette serrure est solide de bonne manufacture et fournie avec les vis pour l'installerSeule bémol la notice est en chinois !Même pas de traduction en anglais éventuellement...Il va donc falloir chercher comment changer le code pour le choisirDommage c'est le seul point négatif...
