Outers 12/16 Gauge 1-Piece Tico Tool

I've used these things every since I first shot an over and under. They work great for cleaning your gun and they are decently priced for it. They make them in all sizes and you can't find them at places like Cabelas. If you own an over and under this is a must have product!

I have used the Tico tool for about 10 years and recently had to replace my original one. I use it every time I am finished firing my O/U shotgun to give each barrel a quick cleaning to remove the worst of the powder. It takes just a minute or two to run the tool through the barrels. Many people have seen me use it and go out and buy one for themselves.

I shoot a hundred rounds a week at Trap and consider this my most valuable tool for keeping a spotless shotgun. It takes just a few minutes to clean and oil the barrels. Run it back and forth with a twist and the residue is gone. Pull the oil swab through just once and that's it. It is worth much more that its purchase price.

Works great on my double barrel, Baikal 12 ga. I use this weekly after Cowboy action shoots. This doesn't replace regular cleaning but I can go longer between cleanings.

After a friend recommended one of these, I'm sold. It's much faster and just as effective as using a bore brush and patches. My only recommendation is to buy 2, one for the initial cleaning, and a second "clean" one to use for the final cleaning and oiling.

I have been using one of these Tico Cleaning tools for over 20 years and recently broke down and purchased a new one as a replacement because the previous one I had was finally starting to fray. I started to panic when at first I could not find it for sale anywhere. Thanks to Amazon, I now have a brand new one.I have yet to find anything that works faster or better for cleaning the inside of the barrels of my over and under shotguns. I shoot a lot of sporting clays and skeet so I run a lot of ammo through my guns in the course of a session. At the end of the day all I have to do is run the Tico tool through each barrel a few times then chase the barrel with the integrated oiling pad that stores in the handle and the inside of the barrels are good to go until the next session. I then use a silicon cloth to wipe down the outside of the gun and store it back in the case until the next time. Once every few months I will pull out my full cleaning kit with the brushes and remove any remaining powder buildup and clean all of the mechanisms thoroughly. The inside of the barrels stay so clean just with the tico tool that actually I'm not sure the brass brush and pads cleans it any better but better safe than sorry. What a great product, and it is so simple and easy to use?

After shooting I use this or a bore snake. Then when I get home I bush the barrels clean with solvent, wipe down with oil then polish again with another one of these tools. It is time consuming but my barrels look brand new on the inside.Works with a 30 inch barrel, 32 might be pushing it.

buy a couple and use the first one as the dirty one with oil ..run it through 4 to5 times then use the clean one slightly oiled ...I use the and the gun comes out great

Works great. I would have given it 5 stars but neither the original nor the replacement came with an end cap. Outers has promised to send me one directly.

worked very well for cleaning shotgun bore ; also a plus did not have remove chokes would have given a 5 star if the top cap had been included so i could have been able to hang on wall
