HBN WiFi Smart Plug, Compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, Wireless Smart Socket Remote Control Timer Plug Switch, No Hub Required, Control Your Devices from Anywhere (2 Pack)

This is an affordable smart plug that works with my Amazon Alexa. Packaging came with a quick start guide and 2 smart plugs. I've managed to connect/set up this both smart plugs with my iPhone. Just need to download the "SmartLife" app and follow the instructions then it allowed me to link with the Alexa. This smart plug can be programmed to a time schedule which is very handy to have. It has a good response time in both in-app control as well as Alexa control. I'm using one plug with my Christmas tree as I can simply ask Alexa to turn it ON / Off easily. Happy with it so far.

Not an easy install. The instructions included did not really help. There are 2 ways to install. I had to use the AP Setup. This after the EZ (advised) set up just refused to follow the ABC instructions. The AP method requires a different approach to button pushing and is a stage approach. Not mentioned anywhere I could find. Rapid blue light blink then slow blink. Finally when the system is recognised on the phone, it has to go through a software update before it can be used. Repeating this process 3 times was tedious but got easier. I am an ordinary person with no special skills, but no fool. Great product once installed. If in doubt YouTube experts are there to help.

I got these to work with my alexa dot. It was easy to set up with their app, (no hub needed like some) and it works great. The glow from it is a pink/purple colour (see photo) these are a god send for me as im disabled, i just tell alexa to turn (a floor lamp in this case) on/off. I think they are good value for 3. Haven't used the other two yet, but i will.

Purchased a 3 pack of these as they were a good price. I guess you get what you pay for! These were easy to set up and link to Alexa. Problem is they worked fine for about 30 minutes but then when turning them off (either directly by pressing the button on each plug or via Alexa) despite the colour of the switch changing to indicate they were off, and the Alexa app showing them as being off, they failed to stop the power to the plug. Tried resetting both plugs but it made no difference. Sadly I’ve had to return these as despite being easy to set up, two of the plugs have failed to cut the power when showing as being off.

These are nicely made and not too big. They work almost straight away following the enc. leaflet, but there was an option after connecting to update the firmware which took a couple of minutes. There was nothing on the leaflet about Alexa and voice control but the instructions are there in the app. It took me half an hour to find this as the app. has lots of settings and options to play with. Basically you add a skill in the Alexa app. called Smart Life and once this is enabled you link it using the same email and password. It worked perfectly once this was done. I am chuffed with these. One of the plugs failed after a couple of days, it still turns on and off just not current passing through to actual device.Apart from that the other two plugs are working fine.Contacted by customer services who read above review and are very kindly dispatching a new plug to me, thank you.

All good. Seem ace so far and very impressed with the look and operation of them. Simple and straight forward to set up. Manual switch easy to see if you wish to use it and lights up too. I've always been a little wary with these 'other' manufacturers as either the app or the plug doesn't seem to work or connect or there's some issue but these are ace. And not expensive. 6ou will be pleased with them I am sure!
