First, these were really easy to install. One thing I didn't notice (because I didn't read the directions thoroughly) is that 8 of the bolts are longer, come with locking nuts, and get installed on the truck side. The bolts require a 13mm wrench.A couple of people commented that if you have mud flaps, you need to reverse the sides. I didn't find that to be necessary, and installed everything according to the directions.

For the value you get what you paid…..The coating is good …the step itself is good has a good platform….However the supplied support from the tube step to the body is weak and thin and there’s slight flex….they need to go back to the drawing board and need to beef it up and add additional brackets on each side !!!!

The runners look great, easiest install I’ve done. I highly recommend them for anyone looking to add a little flair to their truck.

My partner and I just bought two 2022 Tacomas. Nice, comfortable truck but, for shorter folks, a PITA to climb into since they took out the hand bar on the driver side. My shoulders ached from the first day. I looked into nerf bars and steps, found what I like and contacted the dealer. Nope, we donʻt ship to Hawaiʻi. Another quoted me shipping that was more than the cost. Amazon Prime charged less than the shipping from one vendor and shipped it free in 3 days. Installation took about 20 minutes - 8 bolts under the truck ( Easy since the truck is raised ) and 8 bolts to hold the step bar. Same 13 mm socket wrench. Seems pretty sturdy so I say money well spent.

This was a purchase I wanted to make but hesitated for 3 mo ths. I did a lot of research and decided that I could spend more for actual Toyota bars but why? The reviews were spit on and I am glad I took the time to read through them.These are really easy to install. 3 brackets would have been nice but 2 is plenty strong enough. They look great.A few thoughts.1. Hand tighten everything before securing with a socket wrench. Learned that the hard way.2. Put just a small amount of grease on each bowl before installing. I am a bike mechanic and trust me, it helps.3. If you have mud flaps up front you will need to switch the rails to opposite sides so they fit. They work the same, though the foot rest may be a bit more forward. My wife an I have not noticed as a pro lem at all though.

Got these running boards cause my wife has a hard time getting into my new 2021 Toyota Tacoma access cab. The tubing seems to be a bit thin. Only came with 2 mounting brackets that was 1/8 thick. So I was a bit worried. But after mounting them I was able to stand and jump up and down with very little flex ( I weigh about 220). Took me less than 15 minutes per side to install by myself. I didn’t see the need to use an impact. All the bolts I just ran up by hand. Then use a 13mm 3/8” socket to tighten. After seeing the threaded sleeves on the tubing. I was afraid that my impact would strip them out. They look good. I like them. Only problem I had was they shorten me 2 mounting bolts. Just picked up some at Home Depot. Only lost about 3 inches of ground clearance . Hope they hold up as far as the rubber steps and coating go.
