This is a nicely made box with a little touch of a magnetic lid to help keep the lid closed. Very nice wood and nice recipe cards and dividers. I was overly impressed by its quality!

I bought this beautiful recipe box because I needed a place to organize some favorite go-to recipes that I have printed out (or scribbled down on random notepaper) and stuffed in a binder that looks messy and cluttered on my counter and have had no where else to put it that would keep it within easy reach. Sick of the clutter, I decided to look for a recipe box that I could use to write down these recipes from the under and store them in a place that looks great on my counter top. I found this box from Remin& Rain and LOVE it! So many of the other options are too fussy looking for my taste — I was looking for something clean lined and unfussy and timeless and this box is exactly that. It has a magnet closure, so there is no latch, which I love, and two compartments inside, along with notecards and a very cute pen that fits inside the box. The box looks well crafted and solid— it really feels like an heirloom piece that you could pass down to your kids. I liked mine so much that I ended up buying one for my mom too.

This recipe box is made from quality materials and has a nice sleek look. We purchased this item to personalized with an engraving that would be a gift. It engraved beautifully! We really like the extras that come with this box (recipe cards that are water resistant and the special pen used for them). As this was a gift we have not tested that feature but thought it was a nice addition. The slot in the top of the lid to hold a recipe card is a great feature. The divider inside the box is also a nice addition for separating used and blank cards. We like this box so much that we have bought another one. Unfortunately, this item is out of stock often and we would buy more when they are available.

Super cute and functional

This box was exactly what I was looking for. The Box is super sturdy and great for the price. It’s got plenty of room for me to add cards once I work through the ones that were provided too.

I love the box itself! It came with a conversion chart that I taped to the inside of the box- very convenient. My only complaint is not about but the box itself, but the cards included. The waterproof coating is great for protecting them from spilled ingredients, but it makes them difficult to write on. The pen that came with the box couldn’t write well on the coated surface. I tried gel and felt tip pens, but they still smeared even after letting the card dry for a full day! Ball point pens show up well, but still smear quite a bit.TLDR great box, but I will probably be purchasing different cards that are easier to write on.

I have a similar old wooden box I keep recipes in that I love. A friend of mine asked me for different recipes, then she would lose the recipe cards and ask me again for the recipes. I recall that she admired my old wooden box, so I decided to buy one for her. She loves it!! The box was very well made and I think it would make a great shower gift or, as in my case, a gift for a friend.

I had high hopes for this recipe box but unfortunately it arrived broken so I returned it.
