The quality of print is fine but the book isn't as sturdy as you'd expect ...
One of the most important books to understand performance practice of the period. The quality of print is fine but the book isn't as sturdy as you'd expect for the price. To echo other reviews, probably worth buying hardback.

Clear and readable
I was slightly disappointed in that some of the pages early in the book have come away from the binding, otherwise I am delighted with the publication.

Great book. Nice presentation for the most part. Weird print.
As above. It's a great book. I've been looking for it for awhile. The presentation is nice overall, but there is some weird print distortion here and there. I suspect the book I received was a printing reject. But it isn't bad enough to send it back and I just couldn't be bothered since the information, diagrams and notations are as clear as they need to be. The seller got the book to me promptly and the price was ok. It earned 3 stars and very much deserved them. 5 stars for a book without print distortions and a reduction in price. Thanks!

Avoid the paperback edition
I have the paperback edition. The content of the book is fine and well printed, but binding of the book began to fall apart within minutes of opening the book. It's probably worth spending the extra 6 pounds to get the hardcover instead.
