Decent Cast Net And Trap
I can see where the trap can fail because of the materials being used. For one thing, the mesh is just to light weight and fine. If a large crab were desperate to get inside of the trap, he'd ravage the trap. This trap is meant for smaller crabs and the holes for entry are not big enough for big ones to get in. This will get torn apart. Another way this trap would get torn apart if it's stuck on reef and you give it multiple tugs. Lastly for the trap, there is no ramp for the smaller crabs to get inside. As for the cast net, this cast net is not bad. It's pretty decent considering the size and the weight of it. If you have a small pile of bait fish nearby, this can do. The problem with this cast net is that the swivel that prevents tangle on the lanyard is just too small and it's not smooth spinning to rotate fast enough. Other than that, the lanyard is a tad bit too stiff. I'd swap it out for paracord instead. With that, it's UV stable and won't turn brittle being under the sun majority of the time. It's a decent cast net if you're using it from the boat. If you're on shore and there's reef, the monofilament used may or may not get torn easily. It all depends on how you retrieve the cast net. Again, this may be decent for what you need to do to catch bait but for the price, it is.
