A Novice's Delight
Navigating the world of router bits can be like entering a culinary contest armed with only a spatula, but this CHCYWJGJ 15-piece set turned out to be my trusty sous chef. As someone tiptoeing into the DIY realm, this beginner router bit kit was a breath of fresh sawdust. The 1/2-inch shanks felt sturdy, and the variety of bits covered more ground than my attempts at assembling IKEA furniture. They handled doors, tables, and shelves with a finesse that made me feel like the Bob Ross of woodworking (minus the happy little accidents). The DIY wood cutter engraving cutting tools did precisely what they were supposed to do without putting on airs. However, a heads-up for the uninitiated: You might find yourself wanting to router everything in sight. My cat's looking nervous, and my neighbors now have exquisitely carved mailboxes. Overall, a solid kit for those dipping their toes into the woodworking waters without creating a Noah's Ark of furniture in the process.

Excellent, Consistent, Accurate Set
I picked these up for a birthday gift for my Dad. He's been ramping up his woodworking now that he's retired and if I put the right tools in his hands, we usually get something useful back in return. He has complained for a while about losing a set of router bits for a few years, so I figured I'd take it as an opportunity to replace them.He was thrilled and went to work with them the same day. The results are great, looks like a professional craftsman.Good price, good tools.

A good beginner set
These seem to be well made, I had no problem putting them in the drill (which I was using instead of a router) and they worked fine, as long as I could keep my hands steady! I need to get a collar set for the drill that holds it steadier. (Or make one!)The wood case is nice and shows what each of the bits do with a small picture. There is also a tool for changing out the head if needed. The case is well built with a small clip-type lock, so it makes a nice storage piece. I glued the back of the cardboard box to the top to have the other information that I might need and make it easier to identify amongst all my other tools. They are very sharp, so be careful!

They're alright - Won't be high praise though
I played around with this set for a while. Its mixed results. The bits that are simpler, like small round over do just fine. The more elaborate bits cause a lot of chip out. I think its because of the cutting surface. The ball bearings work 'ok" but are not as high of quality as I'd normally like. I suspect as I'm using these, there will be a time the ball bearing simply falls apart and then I'll have a mess. For now, they're working 'ok' and I know that this price point bit has its limitations. The smaller ones you can hog off in one pass, but the larger bits are going to need multiple passes to help avoid the chip out. The more I look at them, the more inclined I am to say the cutting blade probably isn't carbide, but simply steel welded onto the bit, but I cannot b sure, the cutting blade is definately not like usual though. Its also worth noting I ordered the 1/2" shaft not the 1/4" shaft. They arrived in a cheapo wood box and included a couple extra ball bearings.

Good value but these are small bits
I like this small set of router bits they are indeed sharp and have a bearing to prevent over burn or sinking the bit too deep. The only fault I can see is that these are in metric sizes not standard, that's not a deal breaker for me I just did the conversion to standard and used the next size down if it doesn't work out exactly and it often does not. There is a lot of different shapes I have tried to picture and they also came with a extra Allen wrench and a couple of bearings and set screws which is really nice the expensive ones often don't include this option it's a additions charge to purchase more. I was very shocked to see how small they where in person and I attempted to show that in the attached photo with a U.S. quarter included for size reference. I would say this is a good price and it still is they work well but will dull quickly if you force the wood thru the machine in too big of a rush. I like these and they have a use for smaller projects but if you consider this purchase remember they are in metric sizes and they are on the small size and use them with patients and they will do the job you wish on a budget, I certainly cant afford the big brand name bits at 20 and 30$ each or several hundred a set. My advice is consider these but do your research there are plenty of options available but these are decent.

Made of High Quality Material
This is a pretty good starter set of 1/2-inch router bits. There are only 15 router bits in the set so some people may need to add more, depending on their needs. I like the availability of ordering the larger shaft size. The blades are made of YG6 allow and the tips are heat treated tungsten carbide. This type of steel is very strong and made for cutting. Having the 1/2" shaft will also make routing easier for me, as I often work with thick lumber and rout some pretty deep cuts. The blades are coated with an anti-rust spray that will help prolong the life of this 15-piece set. It's nice to have a good quality set that will last me a long time.
