Incredible value!
I bought this as a cheap throw away tool for work in underground utilities. I was not expecting a rock solid, well built knife at this price. I bought another, more expensive knife the same day that I thought would be a better all purpose utility knife, but this one surpasses it by a long shot. I'm going to order several more at this price and have one for the truck, one for the house, and maybe some to give as random gifts to coworkers and friends.

The body does not lock in place
Good sharp blade and it's a cheap knife so you don't worry about it if you lose it. It's not bad but the blade doesn't lock so be very careful

Heavy Duty Knife
I mainly purchased this knife for other uses than electrical work. Something that can take on hard work. It's a solid built knife, better than your pocket knifes in the field. It's large and not really made for your pocket. the cutting edge has a straight line to it, more like a straight razor that a barber uses. The handle is large enough to get a firm grip while ripping through tough material. Hope this helps someone

As described
Product came as described. I’d like to note there is no safety or lock, but it does take some effort to open out of box. Also, for whatever reason in spite of seeing the measurements I did not think it would be this large.

Poor quality
This knife is not of any quality. With the blade open, 1/4" play in the blade side to side. It would not stand up to stripping wire of any size. The scales don't fit properly, the rivets are soft. Stamped steel construction. It isn't sharp. Junk.

decent knife with a few issues
Decent utility knife with a few issues.- - Pro's - -Sharp and keeps it's edge fairly wellSturdy blade.- - Con's - -Blade doesn't lock open. - This makes it dangerous to close.Handle rivets aren't fully set. This makes the knife handle feel loose and the blade moves in it's mounting.

sharp, but cheaply made
years ago my dad mentioned he used to have an "electrician's knife" and how much he liked it. He just couldn't find another one. This knife resembled what he had, so I immediately remembered his comment and thought I should get this for him. I'm disappointed. I won't be giving this knife to him.First the good: the blade is sharp. I don't know how long it will stay sharp, but right now it is very sharp. Now that the good part is covered, lets talk about everything else. Fit & finish is very poor. On a nice knife with wood handles, the wood will seemlessly transition to the metal parts because they shaped the wood and metal together after assembly. They didn't do that. The metal protrudes beyond the wood and wood protudes beyond the metal. There's open gaps between the wood and the metal. Picture a low budget stamped metal frame, and a low budget wood piece cut from a template. They rivet it together and call it done. That's what this looks like. The rivets should be ground down flush with the metal or wood (whichever they're holding), but that's not the case. Rivets protrude above the surface. The knife doesn't close as far as it should either. The blade edge barely enters the handle. Its enough for safety. But its unnecessarily bulky. If you want a knife for your pocket, its hard to find one this size that's bulkier. At the current price of $7.95, I'll give it 3 stars. For each $1 decrease in price, add half a star. For each $1 increase in price, deduct a star.If you want a cheap and sharp but junky knife to put in your tackle box, this might be appropriate for you. It will work for a while and you won't cry if you drop it in the lake.If you want a knife to carry in your pocket that you won't be embarassed to hand someone when they need to open a box, this knife is not for you.
