I got the 16 pack of blocks and the actual dimensions are 1” x 1” x 6” each. The box indicates the same. These blocks are nearly perfect. I found very small knots on two blocks. All the rest had a nice grain and no knots.I am new to the hobby, so this will give me plenty of blocks to hone my skills.

These blocks are small but the wood is perfect for carving. It's soft and smooth. I've had no splintering at all. It's a really nice soft but solid good quality bass wood. Looking forward to finishing my cartoonish gators.

Ordered for my children to bring with them when we went camping. They always like to spend time carving while sitting around the campsite. Each started a project with this wood. It was easy to work with, without being too soft. Both are pleased with how their projects are coming along. The wood seems good quality, their projects are coming along well. Not breaking apart, or too hard to carve. They are happy with the shapes and sizes that they started with.

I got these for my daughter's Cub Scout Bear den to use when they earn their Whittling Chip. Previously, they used plastic knives and soap to learn on, so these will help "elevate" that activity to more realistic levels.
