Cheap and uncomfortable but for the price but don't trust your life to them

Poor spike quality,One of the spikes broke of braces and causing me to come down sliding nearly hurting myself worse than I already did.

The quality of this kit seems fine, everything seems fairly robust. Unfortunately the spikes aren't long enough to dig through the bark of the tree I needed to climb. They just stripped a bunch of bark off. Looking at the other trees on my property I think there's a fairly limited user for this kit. Definitely not all the uses they advertise for it.

Every time I try to take a step it just flip through the bark down the tree. It felt very precarious and dangerous as I was afraid that once I put all my weight onto one leg it could slip around the tree and stab my other leg as well I could fall out of the tree if I attained any height. However in fairness, I have since learned that I had too much slack in the belt holding me to the tree and was leaning too far back. Perhaps I'm wrong but I don't think it would have made that much of a difference. I did see a video that said that this style was made more for telephone pole climbing than trees. However I did see another video where the man easily climbed up a tree with these.

Don’t waste your money. The entire set is junk made in China. The spike shoes are extremely uncomfortable and sketchy as far as safety. Make sure you have common sense when wearing these. The spikes really don’t grip most of the time. The belt strap is horribly hard to adjust. All of it is garbage.
