Bang bang bang
My son bought this gun for himself. He loves it. He plays with it all the time he sleeps with it. He is 13. He just loves this damn gun. It is very, very annoying with the clicking noise, but it’s almost worth it to see how happy my 13 year-old son is just shooting this in his room at target. If you do have small children, I would say four and younger I would advise not having your child shoot this gun due to the fact that it separates with these little orange things and it did get stuck in my child’s nose because he decided to shove it up his nose so I would just make sure there’s no small children around.

It has flaws
I like how it is it is a good toy to use but it is not an educational thing to use. I don’t know if it is just me but the shells don’t go out on the first shot. But other than that it is good

Obvious, less-intimidating toy gun with relatively realistic action
I would like to begin this review with a suggestion – consider including eye protection along with the “shells”, “bullets”, and clips. Contrary to the description of “soft bullets”, they are not soft but are, in reality, hard plastic. That being said, this is an excellent, less-intimidating “toy” for teaching handgun safety to children and adults. With this gun, users will learn muzzle control, trigger control, and target control, particularly given that this gun does indeed shoot a spring-driven projectile (the hard orange, plastic “bullet”). Loading the orange plastic “bullet” into the bronze-colored plastic “shell” to create an “armed” cartridge, of course, is not realistic (even if the user is a reloader) but once armed, the spring driven “primer” functions like a real primer except without the explosive. Loading the cartridges into the two provided clips is fairly realistic and when firing the gun, the clips do feed the cartridges into the chamber but rather than recoil, it is pulling the trigger that accomplishes this much like a double-action semi-automatic. Pulling the trigger not only feeds a cartridge into the chamber, it also fires the “bullet” and ejects the “shell” from the gun’s ejection port. One thing is missing from the gun – a functional safety. The slide even locks back after the last cartridge is fired. All-in-all, fairly realistic without the intimidation factor of a real firearm and, unlike dry-firing a real semi-automatic with snap caps, you do not have to rack the slide each time to cock the gun and a relatively safe “bullet” does leave the muzzle. Again, I would urge the inclusion of eye protection. It is better that users, be they adults or children, get used to the idea of protecting their eyes around firearms.PROS• Obvious (green & purple), less-intimidating toy gun that behaves fairly realistically like a double-action, semi-automatic handgun.• The gun actually shoots a spring-driven, hard-plastic “bullet” and ejects the “shell”.• The set includes two clips that the user can load fairly realistically (at least after the “bullet” is inserted in the “shell”).• Without the clip, the gun can be shot by continuous pulls of the trigger and without shooting a “bullet”, which is ideal for play.CONS• There is no safety on the gun.• Because the gun can shoot hard (not soft) plastic “bullets” and ejects plastic “shells”, it would be best if eye projection was included with each gun.

Works great!
I bought 2 of these as a gift for my grandsons and they really like them. They seem to work very well. They also appear to be well made.
