Great quality!
Surprised by how great the quality is. In fact, I even got another Boya shotgun mic because this product earned my trust in their brand. The magnetic clip-on is slick and easy to use, and it doesn’t fall off easily. The windscreens are cute enough that I don’t mind showing them on camera. It costs slightly more than other “affordable” wireless lavalier mics, but the quality you get is incomparable—definitely a great steal. (Of course, you can’t compare it to pricier professional mics like Rode.)Just a heads-up—this was entirely my mistake, but make sure you check the compatibility before purchasing. I got the Type-C instead of the Lightning port, so it couldn't plug into my phone, and it doesn't work with a Type-C to Lightning adapter. Fortunately, it did work on my GoPro. It’s super compact and works great! Just be sure to check the type of connection first before purchasing!

Well thought out system. Great sound quality and range.
(Note, the Moto camera app installed on Motorola phones doesn't work with external microphones, at least it didn't on mine)Every aspect of this system (microphones, receiver, storage/charging case) is well thought out and functional. All components evidence good quality design and construction. Operation is very simple, plug the receiver into your device remove the microphone(s) from the case and they pair up automatically and quickly. The one potential source of confusion has to do with single button operation. To turn the mics on/off press the button for three seconds. With mics powered on you must remember to push the button once to mute/unmute (flashing red indicator) or twice to enter/exit noise cancelling mode (steady green indicator). If used infrequently it wouldn’t be hard to forget about the options and how to access them with a single button. Details are covered graphically in the included instruction sheet.I ran a sound recording test using both mics with a voice recording app and was very impressed by both sound quality and range. While recording I walked from one room down a hall and into another room (about 40’) while describing my position. With two intervening walls the sounds was flawless and perfectly consistent with the sound recorded when I was standing next to the receiver. While recording with this system I’ll probably never be more than 20 feet from the phone with nothing intervening so this system is certainly up to the task and then some. The mics and spring clips connect with strong magnets. I had no difficulty mounting the mic on my moderately heavy shirt with the clip on the inside and the mic on the outside. Of course you can simply clip the mics to your clothing as well. The spring clips are stiff, hence secure. My one very minor criticism has to do with the silver button on the mic. In situations where you want to keep the mic somewhat inconspicuous the silver button really stands out. If I had a choice I’d choose a black button, no need for any contrast.I went to download the “BOYA Sound” app for my Android phone but there were many recent one star reviews so I decided to forgo the app for now. The sound recording system is working flawlessly without it.I’m impressed and very happy with this BOYA lavalier mic set.

Nicely designed and sounds good
Nicely designed and sounds goodGreat compact good-sounding easy-to-use mics.Comes with a faux leather case with a USB-C charging port and 4 LEDs that indicate the charge state. USB-C to USB-A charging cable. A Quick Start Guide. 2 Windscreens each a different color. 2 button-shaped mics with magnetic clips. The mics have clips with a strong magnetic connection. This is a stellar feature since you're not limited to collar clipping. With the backing magnet, you can place it more appropriately anywhere on the shirt. The mics themselves look like large buttons so they're far more aesthetically pleasing to place. The center button turns on, off, mute, or noise reduction. The mic's LED to confirm the status which is critical since the receiver has no LED at all. I found it worked with my iPhone 14 Pro with my case on which is a nice convenience. The LED flashes blue if it's not a solid connection, blue is paired, flashing red is muted, green is noise reduction enabled, and red is low battery. The range is a bit shorter than other mics but it's the price you pay for its extremely compact design and nice aesthetic. I like testing under suboptimal conditions indoors and through walls and found that even out of line of site I was able to get about 25 feet before the clicks and pops started. The LED on the mic began to flash as it had an issue maintaining a clean connection so an observant talent would know they'd hit the limit. The Quick Start Guide does include most of the important information and the PDF Manual on the website fills in the rest of the details. Interestingly the Quick Start Guide indicates several other cute emoji-style windscreens but I couldn't find any way to purchase them.Missing though is the carrying pouch which is mentioned on this page but not shown in the product shots here or on the manufacturer's website. They also mention wireless charging but there's no explanation and placing the case on my iPhone's magnetic charger didn't seem to do anything. I think the manufacturer needs to clarify these. They may be minor points for some but might lead to disappointment for others, especially those who expect wireless charging. If small, compact, aesthetically pleasing mics are important this is a great choice.
