The lamp and stand is good. It lasts a long time but after 3 years of use the bulbs has gone. The stand and cable is still fine. I just need to buy a new head for the lamp not the whole item again. It seems a waste of money to buy the whole item again when I just need a new head.

This is the best reading light I have ever used! The lamp itself gives a very good "wash" of light. The controls are straightforward and exactly where they should be, on the stem just below the bend. I find the best setting for reading is on "daylight mode" and one notch down from maximum intensity, so there's plenty of power in reserve. The lamp itself is a good neutral colour and highly presentable in any living room. So why keep looking? Go for this one

The light arrived today and was very easily assembled. I put it where we wanted it to stand, plugged in and switched on. Nothing, completely dead. I checked the connections, there are 3 of these, first the continental transformer into the UK converter plug, the power lead into the base of the lamp and then the connector between the two parts of the pole. All seemed okay but I noticed the blue indicator light briefly flashed when jiggling the transformer plug in the converter plug. A quick look seems to indicate the metal contacts on the two prongs of the transformer are too short to make good contact inside the converter plug due to the angle of the sides of the contacts inside. It took a bit of gentle moving between these two parts to get consistent power to the lamp. This is clearly the weak link and for the price this lamp it ought to come with a UK transformer plug, the continental transformer and UK converter plug spoil the ship for a h'appence of tar. I'm keeping the box and packaging just in case I need to return it for a refund as the jury is out on this one at the moment.

It’s says uk plug. Which technically it has in the form of an adaptor.See my pictureLooks ridiculous.Shame. Lamp is excellent. Hence 3 stars.

a really good light for sewing or craft work. Very stylish and not too big. The features for varying the light is great too.

This lamp is wonderful. It's so much kinder on the eyes when your reading or doing close work.

I bought this lamp to stand behind my sofa. It will stand there but it becomes useless . The light part will not reach over far enough to light up your work. I’ve now moved it to my table and put the one on the table back to my work chair. Even though this was expensive I chose this one for the useful chart clamp and the tray for bits like small scissors and sewing needles etc,. The thing that bothers me is the inconsistency of the light. If its on for some time it cuts out, then comes back on. Which I find very frustrating. If this continues I will return it and ask for a refund. I have taken a picture with a 15 inch teddy. I think it shows how high the lamp goes leaving enough to to bend over your work. I’m in 2 minds whether to send it back. I will try it out over the holidays, and if the light keeps on going out I will be sending it back. Going to look for a clamp for holding my charts

Da ich bei künstlichem Licht seit einiger Zeit Probleme habe, meine feinen Stickereien auszuführen und meine Augen dann immer sehr angestrengt sind, habe ich mich für diesen Kauf entschlossen.Der Aufbau ist auch für Laien, wie mich, einfach. Die Bedienung ebenso und das Design paßt sich unauffällig jedem etwas moderneren Einrichtungsstil an.Zum Handarbeiten auf den Punkt ist das Tageslicht ideal, zum Lesen auch noch, wenngleich ich manchmal meine normale Stehlampe dazuschalte um einen größeren Lichtkreis zu erhalten. Für die anderen, dunkleren, Einstellungen habe ich im Moment noch keine Verwendung gefunden. Deshalb von mir 4 Sterne.Bei diesem Anbieter hat die Lampe am wenigsten gekostet. Woanders kostet sie teilweise 20 Euro mehr. Andere Modelle mit gleicher Funktion kosten locker das Zwei- und Dreifache.
