The best budget drone in the world (probably)
Over the years I’ve had cheap model aircraft including helicopters and found them frustratingly difficult to fly. I looked at various drones on YouTube and it was clear that cheaper drones all seem to have ‘issues’ such as poor stability or mediocre cameras. The DJI Mini 4k seemed to be the exception.I’ve now flown mine several times over the past few weeks clocking up approximately 10 miles flown, and have been amazed. The drone is well built and so easy to fly. The video and photo quality is simply unsurpassed for the price. The controller is solid and precise, and the built in safety features (ability to set height and distance, return to home) just provides an overall confidence boost in the equipment.Although the Mini 4k is under 250g you must obtain an Operator ID from the CAA (£11.13 in 2025 and renewable annually) or you risk prosecution .The CAA also advise getting a Flyer ID which is free valid for 5 years. This involves a short course and a test requiring an 80% scores (it’s pretty basic stuff and you can retake as often as needed). There are proposals to make Operator and Flyer IDs mandatory and the introduction of Remote ID for all drones over 100g from Jan 2026 - the CAA website has more information.Overall, a great piece of kit and highly recommended.

Brilliant bit of kit
Flys superb, steady even in wind. Camera is 4k, and can’t tell it’s even flying the picture is so steady with gimble. For less than £300 it’s a bargain. Top quality, technology is amazing. Only thing is you need to buy a case and a strap thing to keep the propellers tidy in the case. An extra battery is useful too but not essential ( at£50 it’s a lot) so with extra case and propeller strap and battery, allow another £75. Still cheap at that price considering how well made this drone is. My first drone and I love it , does everything I need , basic photography and videos. Get one !

An Amazing beginner Drone
Very Good! Bought it for recreational use but I don't see why this would not be able to be used for professional purposesIt has Ground avoidance so you don't accidently fly into a tree underneath you its easy to control and does not fly/drift away in the wind it charges from 0 to full in about 1.2 hours with a flight time of about 18 minuets depending on the quality you are filming in another plus is the drone is sturdy and includes a new set of propellers

Good drone, but range in the UK nowhere near advertised level.
It's a great drone for a beginner, but the advertising is a bit misleading - the EU and UK are subject to CE standards as opposed to FCC, and transmission strength is much lower, so there's no way it can achieve the advertised range in the UK. Slightly disappointing it starts to lose signal at 600m in a clear area. Other than that, it's simple to operate and the camera is really good for an amateur/beginner.

Amazing piece of tech.
This drone exemplifies the advances that have been made in tech over the past few years. Relatively inexpensive, light (less than the regulatory 250g for registration), and oh, so stable. Controls are simple to learn and configurable to your preference, and the app is fairly intuitive. Works well with Samsung S22 Ultra attached.Picture quality is superb. Battery life more than adequate, shame they are quite expensive though. Overall, this does exactly what I need it to do, which is a little bit of everything.I've had one scare with it. Taking an extended family outdoor photo, I ascended the drone above the treeline, not realising how windy itwas. The wind caught the drone and I began to lose control. The display warned me to lose altitude in order to regain control, which I duly did. After a few tense moments, the drone managed to make some headway back to where we were and landed safely. I reckon the wind was approaching 20kts, so well outside its design limits. Lesson learnt!

Boys and their toys
I brought this for my husband at Christmas and now we feature it and it's amazing views we capture on our YouTube channel@BasecampAdventures.Speed is excellent and we control it via our iPad for a bigger view to see where we are aiming. Birds are not a fan, but we love it and it can stand upto 25mph winds, but in all honesty we only did this once at low level, as the further away it got, the harder it was to control, however for what we use it for, we are 100% loving it.

Awesome bit of kit
First unprompted review, it's that good. Turned up super quick. I can't rant enough about this drone, awesome functions and quality for the price. Straight out of the box it does everything I want it too. I'm using it for domestic roofing surveys, more than enough battery and flight time to do this. Image quality is 100%. GET ONE!
