Very nice quality and smaller than expected
I was worried this was going to be one of those big honkin usb sticks, but it's exactly the size of my ring finger and I have pretty small hands. I was really surprised at how small it is. I was initially going to get a little tiny samsung just to plug into my phone but then I saw how fast and compact the higher end had gotten. It IS metal and it feels very well made. The only part you might lose is the USB-A cap but it's on there very tight and definitely won't come out in your pocket. It takes effort.I bought this to use between android, windows, macbook and ios. Media and music production stuff. So I need to use exfat which means to encrypt I have to use a folder encryptor like Cryptomator and make vaults on the drive root. This seems to be working great so far. I've tested between my s24+, windows 11 and macbook pro and everything picked up the drive and was able to treat it as a mounted network share fine. Meaning that I could actually open mobile apps and point to things like my audiobook / movie folders to play from directly, and it worked great. I was worried about that.No complaints at all, zero problems. Came exFAT formatted. I didn't have to do anything. It gets pretty hot transferring but I won't be touching it much.I've never bought SSK, will do more often thanks.

Convenient, sturdy and fast.
Before U could use this the first time, my wife informed ne that I left in my pants pocket! I let it dry and plugged it in. It worked perfectly! Don't try it yourself however. I constantly copy files from my computer phone and this makes it a lot easier. I'm also copying files from my old computer to my new one. I love it.

Very Speedy Drive
Haven't used this a lot yet, but it was very fast. This was a great price for this much capacity and this much speed. Just what I wanted.

Write speeds are fantastic, read speeds and constant drops are unacceptable
I was really excited about this item. It worked blazing fast to back up all of my incredibly important photos from my wedding and family ive lose over the years and all of my DJ library as well as original music. I was ecstatic as I cleared the space from my Mac to liberate my MacBook pros disk space. The issue came immediately after using it the first time. I played a video through my television and noticed it would play for a short period then freeze, then play and freeze again. Eventually I’d quit the video and eject the drive. I decided to put the video back on my Mac to stream it and that’s when the speeds became an issue. File transfers of 30 gig down to 3gigs take anywhere from a 4-5hrs down to 40 minutes of time.I9 MBP, 16gb ram - using my Thunderbolt port. There is absolutely ZERO reason it should be so slow. I tested multiple drives and none had this issue. USB disk drives nor SSD’s.I’m going to try the replacement and see how it goes, but at this point it’s going to take my full return window just to transfer the files I cannot lose while just giving up on the others.Oh and the item gets incredibly hot to the touch, as advertised, but at much smaller file transfers than advertised.

Fails FAST but the seller will work with you
Failed within 3 months. Barely used it. Get "there is a problem with this drive" message every time on my Windows 11 and no amount of scanning etc. fixes it. Outside the return window. The seller is uncontactable. Stay away from this dud.Edit: Some more info: Initially it worked ok - the transfer speed was much lower than the promised 1000Mb/s speed, but there was no other issue. After a month or so, I noticed that it got very hot as soon as I plugged it in and the transfer speed was reduced to about 2Mb/s. And then after a few weeks, the transfer speed was further reduced to a crawling 740kb/s.And now it doesn't even work. I've used it very sparingly since I bought it: just to store my files, photos, etc. It remains unplugged (and stored in a drawer) 99.9% of the time. It still gets incredibly hot as soon as I plug it in, but it DOESN'T work anymore. In other words, it has failed.EDIT #2: The seller reached out to me and made things right. I appreciate it. Increasing the star rating.

Things to know before purchase
I got the 2tb version and I must say it has been a learning process. If you plan on loading this device up with games it's best to not add anything other than games. If you put steam and epic games games on the drive it can make it run slower. It's because when your playing a game it's most likely reading the whole drive instead of the games directory making it choppy when playing a large game. I now only use it with steam and the performance was worth the 100 dollars. Since it only has steam on it, it now works like a charm. I take this drive everywhere with me because I have a gaming laptop and the pouch the drive comes in makes it 3 times easier to carry around. Having the usb and usb type c as options make this thing even better when it comes to options as my laptop has both and both work great when playing games.

Faster than a speeding bullet.
Small, light, and most importantly, very fast. I hooked it up to a thunderbolt 3 port and clocked its write speed at 180 MB/s. (so there's no confusion, I'm talking megabytes. If you want megabits per second, it's 1,440 mbps). I know the ads rate it as much faster, but let's face it: the real world is never as good as the ads. That said, I don't have any SSDs that are faster than this one and this stores 2 TB and it fits in your shirt pocket and weighs about the same as an egg. (I dunno, maybe less than an egg?)
