Best for the price, easy to read
The numbers are bold, clear and easy to read at a glance. This is the second one I've bought, and I've been very happy with them. Be aware that there is no back light, so one must use a light to read it in the dark. Even so, it meets my needs for accurate, easily readable time info. When I ordered the second one, I compared this to others available for the price. I only realized after ordering that this was identical to the one I've already had for a few years.

It's a good buy
Wish it lit up but it still is great keeps me oriented, it also has an alarm. Out the box house just need to press the time zone your in it does the rest.

It works, looks nice, and a good price if no more than $20
Pros: looks nice, and works (plug in batteries and it automatically tries to set the time).Cons: controls are a bit awkward. You pretty much have to read the instructions to know how to make adjustments. And that shouldn't be necessary, if they just designed the controls better. If I were designing it I'd lay out the display differently. E.g. there's no need to display seconds, and especially not as the second largest thing on the screen. And there's no need to spell out the entire name of the day of the week. All of that wasted space then forces the date and temperature--information that truly is valuable and important--squeezed into a small corner. Too small, IMO. LaCrosse really needs to hire me to design their clocks, lol.A curious side-issue: it comes in a Mainstays box.All in all I'm happy with it.

Helps keep me grounded
Good to see at a glance what day and time it is. Helps people with dementia.

Not too accurate…
Does not keep good time. The clock loses 2-3 minutes over a 2 week period. The WWVB function does nothing. It blinks for a while (a few minutes) then goes away and the time NEVER updates. I’ve tried setting the clock on a south-facing window sill…no change. I’ve left the clock with the satellite icon blinking on my window sill over night and into the next day…no time update. My 1950’s vintage wind up wall clock keeps better time. The last atomic clock I had (it finally died) reached out to the WWVB and kept very good time. This one, not so much. VERY DISAPPOINTED. :-(

Not As Advertised - Packaged as MainStays product
I own several La Crosse products and while not top of the line products, I count La Crosse as decent quality and name-brand products. So, I ordered this clock expecting a La Crosse product. The item came in a Walmart MainStays box. MainStays identification all over the box, except for one little sticker covering one MainStays logo designating a La Crosse number. This is not expected as it is advertised sold by the La Crosse store. I was about to return it because MainStays is Walmart's economy brand so I typically avoid such items. I would not have purchased this clock from Walmart branded as a MainStays but anyone can get it for the same price immediately from Walmart. I opened it to inspect the back and found the La Crosse brand name imprinted there. So, I guess either La Crosse makes it for Walmart or the economy supplier of Walmart MainStays makes it for La Crosse. I'm disappointed but time will tell. As I say, I probably wouldn't have bought a MainStays product - but would buy, & have bought, a La Crosse product. Not sure if my opinion of La Crosse has decreased or opinion of MainStays has increased (I think the former). Don't be like me who would have returned this product if I hadn't opened it.

Good clock for the money ... but why does it come in a Walmart box?
Right out of the box - which, as another recent reviewer noted, is a Mainstays box, complete with "Distributed by Walmart" on the back!? - the clock was easy to set up. Just pop a couple AAA batteries in it, follow the directions on the back to manually set the day, date and time zone, and then the clock did the rest. It was set to the second and keeping accurate time within just a few minutes. The display size is perfect for my bathroom, and it is easily visible from every angle. It is smaller and lighter than my previous clock, but seems to be made very well.

Smaller atomic
This is a great smaller sized atomic clock. I needed one for a bookcase and this fits perfectly. The numbers are actually bolder and easier to read even though the face is the same size as the clock it was replacing. If you are looking for something for a smaller space, this is a great choice.
