I thought it was electric not manual powered but I thin it works fairly well.
That it was not electric.

Easy as pie.
I immediately unpacked it, Read the directions. I have sharpened all my knives and it worked a treat for the knives. I have yet to try garden tools or scissors. Anyone who left a bad review for this sharpener obviously did not read the directions.

It's large and I can't get a good edge on my knives.
This is way larger than I expected. If I wanted something that required counter space, I'd have bought an electric sharpener. I tossed this in the trash, a dull knife is a dangerous knife. Waste of money.

convenient and quick way to sharpen knives
I generally prefer to use a whetstone when I can, but sometimes you're cooking and only realize when you go to dice a tomato or something that your knife is too dull for the job. Using a dull knife can be more dangerous than you'd think; overshooting how much force is needed for chopping or slicing means potential slips, which could mean injury. So just a quick few passes through the graduated settings gets your blade sharp and useable again. Build is solid and it's simple to use, even for my partner who hates cooking and is intimidated by knife wielding in the kitchen. It won't replace my whetstone for my bigger, fancier knives, but it's a great quick solution to keep your blades sharp.

Works Great Sharpening My Knives, But Device Is A Bit Large
The knife sharpener comes with a cleaning brush and a user guide. The unit is fairly long but narrow. The front knob has a silicone wheel that allows easy switching of the mode. It has 3 sharpening modes for standard knives. Coarse, which uses tungsten steel to reshape the edge and remove as much material as possible if you have a really dull knife. Then the 2nd stone using a resin diamond is meant for daily prep of the knife edge. This also cleans off the rough edge from the tungsten steel. The 3rd stone is made of ceramic which provides cleans the edge more to provide a polished edge. Mode 4 is a ceramic stone for bread knives. Mode 5 is a resin diamond stone for scissors. Before you start sharpening your knives make sure you know what mode it’s in before swiping your knife over the stones. I was sure I had it on Mode 1 and started pulling my paring knife through approx. 6X, but when I tried to turn the knob to the next mode, I found I was on Mode 5 for scissors and turned out I dulled the knife. After correcting my mistake, I performed approx. 6 strokes in Mode 1. I could see the metal shavings coming off, so it was recreating the cutting edge. Same 6 strokes for Modes 2 & 3. When I was done, I found it had trouble cutting paper. I reattempted modes 1 to 3, but this time went with 20 strokes. When I was done, my paring knife was sharp again. It seems I really dulled the edge after trying to sharpen my knife in the wrong mode.Performed the same using a Santoku knife, but this time with the proper modes and only 10 strokes per. The edge started out rough with a lot of large burrs but going to mode 2 reduced the size of the burrs and the surface was smoother. After mode 3, almost all the burrs were gone, and the surface was significantly smoother. I finalized the knife on a leather strop to polish the edge and remove the smallest of burrs. When I was done, the knife cut through paper so much easier. Normally, I would have to hold the knife in an angle and slice the knife against the paper for it to cut, but now I just need to push down on the blade without the slice movement and it cut the paper cleanly. The unit has a handle that keeps your hand away from the knife edges and has silicone feet to keep it stable on the table/countertop. The opening is also wide enough that I can fit my wide handled paring knife so that the rear of the knife edge close to the handle can still hit the stones.Overall, I found the Bonlasharp 5 in 1 Adjustable knife sharpener did a great job in re-sharpening my knives. The edges are very good, but not perfect as the fine stone is only a 1000grit, which is ok, but won’t give you the exceptionally honed edge like an 8000grit stone. The one added bonus is that it’s capable of sharpening scalloped edge bread knives. The unit is a bit on the larger side, but it does provide added security as your supporting hand is nowhere near the cutting edge.

Easy to use, efficient sharpening, and versatile
This manual knife sharpener is great for a variety of knife blades in different sizes, as well as scissors. We have an electric knife sharpener that works great. Unfortunately, it isn't compatible with serrated or curved knives, but this one is, and it works great! It is very easy to learn how to use, and the instructions are comprehensive and easy to follow. It doesn't take up too much counter/storage space, which is great. Most importantly, it sharpens knives and scissors efficiently and effectively. Once a blade is sharpened, it seems to stay nice and sharp for as long as it did since we first got it, and this sharpener seems to polish blades as well, so they look and work like they are new again!

Works perfectly!
The media could not be loaded. The package of knife sharpener also comes with a cleaning brush and a user guide. The unit is fairly long but narrow. The front knob has a silicone wheel that allows easy switching of the modes, There are 5 kind of modes:Sharpen mode, daily prep, daily fine, bread knife and scissors. This is a very lightweight product This 5-in-1 adjustable knife sharpener is easy to use. it's easy to grip with one hand as the other guides the blade through in a single direction and motion. It has non slip bottom pads which keeps the product stable and steady. It works perfectly! I sharpened a couple of knives and it was like night and day.It needed to run knives 6 or 8 times through each mode of the knife sharpener to get the sharp blade. You only use the first 3 modes to sharpen knives. This is an essential tool in any kitchen, because a sharp knife is a safe knife.I can definitely recommend this knife sharpener! It won’t work too well on some thick material knives that can only be sharpened with tougher methods. My mom has a knife set that can only be sharpened with stone or rolling wheel, those don’t work too well on this but literally all my knives have been sharpened like magic!I have 3 knife sets and they are all super sharp now! I tested everything with a super ripe tomato and onion.Extremely pleased!
