Just used this to locate some issues with my 2004 Silverado. Though I'm not familiar with operating diagnostic scanners, it was extremely easy to use and get readings on all sorts of stuff. My particular issue with my truck was messed up wires to my engine coolant sensor and issues with the evaporative emission control system vent valve/solenoid.Pros:-Easy to Use. <Nearly anyone can figure it out and it has decent instructions on what things do.-Easy to Read. <It's not hard to see what setting you are looking for and it's organized well on-screen.-Gives a code and actually names stuff on-screen. <I didn't have to first look up a code before knowing what part it's alerting me to.-All kinds of readouts, tests, and settings to work with. <There are lots of things to check/test for various years/makes/models which pretty much covers all your needs if you have multiple vehicles.Cons: (actually, it's a good thing too)-If you aren't familiar with technical lingo or acronyms, you'll likely have to do a bit of research for more advanced tests/readout. It's a good problem to have, knowing that it provides more info than you know what to do with lol.Note: Because year, make, and model varies so much, it's possible that not every feature of this device will be applicable to your specific vehicle.

This is a basic OBD2 reader. Being a basic reader is not a negative.Most readers in this price range all read the same thing.it comes down to how easy it it to use.In my opinion, this one is easy to use. The buttons makes sense, at least the basic code reading buttons.The rest of the buttons are a nice to have, but they are not the reason you buy an OBD2 reader.You buy the reader to read the code, which is causing the check engine light.Once you know the code, you can Google the code and find out what the issue is.In many cases, fixing the issue will clear the code, you don't need to reset it. This validates that the repair worked.

This scan tool was super easy to use.. plug it into the port and it'll give the reading of what the light on the instrument panel means. It feels like it is very sturdy. The screen is easy to read and it has helped me figure out what codes my SUV is giving.

cannot do detail comprehensive scanning.it does not work for readiness for 2002 Audi A6.Battery voltage reading not working for my car, may be work for newer car (?)dissapointed

So this scanner literally saved my love. I had a sensor that was burnt out, but because it was broken I didn't know that my cat was overheating. My boyfriend told me to go to the mechanic, but they wanted $150 to run a scan on it. I didn't have that price. So we got this scanner. My boyfriend said I was lucky that my engine didn't blow. He just put the scanner on, waited a couple seconds, and knew exactly how to fix the problem. Thank goodness. And it reads so many different vehicles makes and models. Great product!!!

I had no problem plugging this Onboard Diagnostic Scanner into my 2019 Audi OBD interface. It lit up immediately and I was able to use it to read various data associated with my engine. It gave me the precise voltage of my battery, the readings of my oxygen sensors, and other data that my car normally uses to monitor its own function. The navigation through various options with the device was simple and easy to follow and in accordance with the instruction manual for this OBD reader.Had there been any fault codes identified, I could have used this device to clear the fault codes (or not), and then probably walk into the repair shop with a much better idea of what I'm up against.This is a great device to have - especially while on the road and away from your normal garage.
