Sturdy, sturdy, sturdy!
I'm elderly and should not be on ladders, however I am 4'11" and almost everything involves a ladder. This one is so sturdy; it has a rail I can grab onto. Very safe. And it was extremely affordable. It also folds up and fits in a closet or between the kitchen counter and the fridge. Highly recommend it.

Broke after 2 weeks
Had a friend over doing some install work and he used this step ladder. I watched him step on the bottom step and it crack under his weight. He weighs 170lbs. Not good quality and definitely doesn’t hold 500lbs like it states.

Very good, convenient and inexpensive ladder for domestic use
A three-step ladder is a very useful item to have around the house for all sorts of projects, including but well beyond just changing light bulbs. While a full 6-footer is needed for some projects, a three-step ladder is good enough for most, and can be conveniently stored in a closet or even slipped between the washer/dryer and an adjacent wall in the laundry room. I already had a three-step Gorilla GLS-3 in my pantry downstairs, but I decided that it was time to get a second three-stepper and put it in a closet upstairs to save having to lug the Gorilla upstairs when a project needed one.I thought that comparing my new Effieler with the Gorilla GLS-3, which has given me good service for many years, would help me evaluate it. The three steps are exactly the same height on both products. While the Effieler is about an inch wider overall, its steps are each about an inch shallower than the Gorilla's (front to back measurement), with the top step being a bit deeper in both. Not a problem for my size-10 feet, but if you are size 13 you might be more comfortable with a ladder with deeper steps, especially the top one. Also, I'd expect the Gorilla to be bit more stable since the spread between its opened legs is about 4" more than the Effieler's.The Eiffieler's grab bar above the steps is about 4" lower than the Gorilla's. That's not much of a problem when climbing the Effieler -- you just have to lean forward a little more if you want to hold the grab bar all the way up to the top step. But if you are in the habit of leaning forward against the grab bar when standing on the top step, on the Effieler you'll be hitting it just above mid-calf as opposed to just below the knee with the Effieler. The frames of both products are made of the diameter steel tubing (1"). The total weight of my Effieler is 10.6 lbs, while the Gorilla is noticeably heavier at 13.6 lbs. I don't think that the Gorilla's higher grab bar or slightly larger steps can account for this entire 3 lb difference, but I could be wrong. Unfortunately, I could not remove the Effieler's riveted-on plastic feet to compare the thickness of its tubing material with the Gorilla's. But based on weight and feel, I believe that while the Effieler is easily sturdy enough for me, the Gorilla GLS-3 is sturdier. It's not possible to do an apples-to-apples comparison, since the Effieler is labeled to support "500 lbs max load, domestic use," while the Gorilla is fully labeled for "Commercial Type II" use with a "Duty Rating" of 225 lbs. The Effieler's capacity is almost certainly being given for *static* loads, which means the loads are not shifting around, let alone jumping up and down on the ladder. The Gorilla on the other hand is certified to meet OSHA standards which would account for a dynamic component of the load.Overall, this is a great ladder for light household use, and I really appreciate its 25% lighter weight compared to my old ladder. I'd give it five stars for strictly household use, which is what is promoted by the web page, but I'm reducing the rating by one star in the hope that you will read this whole review and *not* plan to use this ladder in a 500-lb heavy-duty setting.
