I was looking for cat trees without the crazy price tag, and this one was super affordable. it fits perfectly on the wall I planned to install it on, and so far it’s held up pretty well. The material is just wood and better than I thought it would be. It isn’t super heavy, and I was totally able to install it by myself (I did use the box it came in to raise it up a bit while I screwed it in - it was the perfect height so it wasn’t on the floor.) It’s relatively easy to clean, I have two medium hair cats so it definitely gets fluffy pretty quickly, but a lint roller does the job. No safety concerns except for the rope - but as long as you tie it on both ends your cat probably won’t chew it.

We have large British Shorthair cats and being able to secure this to the wall was the reason I purchased this. I gave it 4 stars only because the shelves are too small for our 15 pounders but doable for 8lb cats and under in size. But most of all I like the fact that I don't have to worry about them tipping it over and getting hurt since it is securely attached to the wall. Assembly was simple and the wood platforms wipe clean. It also doesn't take up valuable floor space. I have them mounted on the sides of my patio door so that the cats can lounge on the shelves to watch the visiting hummingbirds. I was satisfied enough to buy a second one.

I have experience drilling, but mounting this on the wall was a little difficult due to the holes being too small to push a pen through to make the marks on the wall. Instructions were a bit vague. Luckily I was able to find a pen that fit after taking the ink cartridge apart. My plan B was to use the tape method to mount stuff on the wall. I placed the whole tower on a step stool for support while I made the marks on the top first. I installed the top screws then took the bottom step back off (held by one screw underneath) to be able to drill the bottom holes on the wall. Then lastly I screwed it back into place and installed the bottom screws on the wall. The steps are wood and the column pieces I believe are plastic wrapped in rope. My package didn't come with a hole for the hanging rope, but I didn't mind. The 2 pads that come with this have a non-slip texture underneath but I dont think it's very effective as they still move around if I push them. With the weight of my cats I think they'll end up sliding off. Overall this is very sturdy and my cats immediately loved it. I wanted a tower that didnt take up much space and didnt have carpet. This was a great affordable option for my cats to be able to look out the window! I wasn't able to mount it closer to the window due to 2 outlets on the wall but it's still close enough for them to look outside and have some fun climbing up and down.

update12/2024: just wanted to say that the one we built last year is holding up extremely well to our cat's zoomies. the only thing we needed to add was some sisal padding to make the shelves nonstick. but I love it so much that I bought 2 more kits. a really good value and very, very quality materials.If you don't own any tools or want to do any customizing of your cat tower, or have nooo DIY experience, this is not the one for you. however, if you, like me, have some building skills and don't mind doing a little painting.... this is a very nice kit at an amazing value. the shelves are high-quality, thick plywood (5/8" or 3/4"), sanded and ready for paint/stain. the tower assembles easily with hardly any tools, and it's well-made and surprisingly sturdy. the instructions are sparse, but it's not too hard to figure out. I wanted my tower to go all the way to the ceiling, and it doesn't (it reaches about 6 or 7ft?), so I ordered a second one. You do definitely have to screw it into the wall, or make a wider base. but it seems like it should be very sturdy once it's complete. I'm happy with it.

The design of this cat tower is nice, and it seems sturdy enough, but unfortunately, it’s way too small for larger cats. My cat is a bit on the chunky side, and he struggles to climb or fit on the platforms. This would be great for a slim or smaller cat, but if you have a bigger cat, they might not be able to use it at all.It’s disappointing because I was hoping for a more universally sized tower. If the platforms were larger and more spacious, this would easily be a 5-star product. As it stands, it’s only good for petite kitties.

My three cats LOVE this tower! I mounted it next to the kitchen cupboards so they could get up there easier and they use it all the time. It’s pretty sturdy but I wish it had another wall piece/bracket for the middle section since it’s so long that part kinda wobbles when they jump. I think a bracket right in the middle would make it super stable. I did cut some self stick carpet tiles and placed those on the platforms to keep the kitties from sliding when they jump. Overall, this is a great piece for the price!

We bolted this to the side of a tall desk so the cats can get to the top, they do like it and are using it. The installation instructions are pretty minimal and during installation, one of the pieces cracked because the holes were too small for the screws. I wish it had one more platform. I added sisal pads to the platforms, otherwise they were a little smooth for climbing. Reasonable value for cost, lots of flexibility in how to install if you are handy.
