Good resin kit. Instructions could be improved. Pigments work well.
This resin set is for the most part good. The instructions had a number of typos and are lacking some useful detail, but are adequate. There are three silicone moulds included with the resin, along with some pigments, stirrers, pipettes, plastic measuring cups and gloves. The gloves are better than nothing, but nitrile gloves are recommended for strength. The pipettes are really only useful if mixing liquids into the resin. There are no volume measurements given for the moulds, so I determined these by weighing water.Approximately they are:Heart 30mlCube 43mlBlob 34mlThe instructions give no working time, however it was at least 15 minutes and likely closer to 30. The mix is a convenient 1:1 ratio by volume. I prefer to mix by weight though, which requires knowing the specific gravity, and this was not specified. Of the moulds, the heart and blob are fine, however the cube has no ribs to strengthen the sides, which kink inwards due to being thin.I mixed enough to make a heart with a little left over, and added some red pigment (a little goes a long way). I had also had some glitter, so sprinkled in a little of that to test the clarity and effect, but note that glitter is not included. I have a pressure pot that compresses bubbles so they are invisibly small, so I used that for the mould, but left the remaining resin in the mixing cup to see the result without pressure and to check for curing. The result in the mould was flawless, and there were minimal micro bubbles in the cup too, so this naturally degasses well. It cured within the 24 hours estimated time. The result was great, and I just sanded the bottom to remove flashing and get a perfect base.Being plastic rather than silicone, the mixing cups are harder to clean, however this is possible once cured. The solid layer at the bottom simply peeled off, and the small residual resin drops around the side could be pushed off. If this is done well, a cup should be reusable, but ultimately more plastic cups or silicone ones may be needed before the resin is all used.Overall this is a good starter kit that should give pleasing results and recommended.

A decent taster set to see if you like the Art of crafting with resin.
The Glinco Complete Epoxy Resin Kit contains the following items:-250mls of resin250mls of hardenerThree silicone molds (Square, sphere and heart)Pigment powder (mine had yellow, blue, black, silver, red, white, gold and green)4 wooden mixing sticks4 plastic mixing cups3 pipettes2 packs of disposable glovesPlus a User Guide in the form of a leaflet. The instruction leaflet is straightforward, so I would say this is a kit suitable for beginners, as it contains everything you need to try out crafting with resin. It is not “quick dry”, and it is suggested leaving your piece for 24 hours to allow it to cure. The resin is non-toxic, self levelling, odourless and resistant to yellowing.I note one reviewer has mentioned that with the cups being plastic they are only suitable for single use. To be honest, this has not been my experience, as in the past I have cleaned and re-used plastic measuring cups. However, if any resin is left behind in the cup, and hardens off, this can adversely affect your mix next time, plus you could end up with “bits” in your new mix. Admittedly, silicone cups are easier to clean, but for small quantities, the plastic ones can be cleaned, and if all the traces of resin are removed they can be re-used a limited amount of times. The moulds are okay, but not what I would personally choose. I think for beginners something a bit smaller or more functional would have been better, as these are too large for jewellery and too small for ornaments/paperweights etc. The main value in this kit is the actual resin. In conclusion, this is a good “taster” set to see if you get the “resin bug”, but you may find better alternative by searching on Amazon.

Nice beginner's set
We have not tried an epoxy resin kit before and we were curious how they work. This Complete Epoxy Resin Kit - 500ml has been a really good introduction for my husband and myself, although the instructions could be improved as we ended up looking for more info online. Overall, it was relatively easy and fun to use, with all safety procedures followed. So far we have only used the heart mould. All the ingredients mixed well, the cured result was clear and looked quite nice. Overall, it's a good kit that has opened our interest in this hobby so would definitely recommend it.

Good beginner's set
This is a decent sized and equipped epoxy resin kit for beginners, but also useful for those who have some equipment already, as it offers some moulds I've not seen with other sets. It comes with everything required to make a start. I always give my moulds a wash before first use, so while I'm at it, I can exactly measure the volume of liquid required for each mould, so I know the precise amount of resin I need to mix, so there's no wastage and I'm not having to mix up more by under-estimating what I need.It comes with clear instructions and safety information. The pigments mixed well and provided a good depth of colour. It degasses pretty well, but you can help this with a spray of isopropyl alcohol or a long-handled lighter. It cured well and resulted in a very clear finish.Though the cube mould was a little deformed on arrival, it settled into its proper form once filled with resin. The others were fine from the outset. At £19.99, this is a really good starter set, and a great gift for a crafter.
