Cute!
The love story seemed a little rushed but it was so cute how everything ended. I read this in a night because I couldn’t put it down. Even though the characters were in the mafia, their personalities were cute. I know, mafia and cute don’t mix but that’s exactly what this book was. A cute Mafia story.

loved this
A great mafia romance. Not too much violence that it will turn you off of the book, and a lot of romance and heart. I loved this book. The connection they had was good. Not overly written and just the perfect amount of story if that makes sense. Loved this

Meh...
I was so excited Michelle came out with another mafia series. However I do believe my expectations were a little too high. The book started great, and I was thoroughly enjoying it until about 40% in. Plot was honestly nothing special, another innocent virgin who is traded off to a mafia boss because of the wrongdoings of a family member. Blah blah blah, we've read if a hundred times, and at this point, if authors continue recycling the same storyline, then they need to get creative. I honestly didn't mind the plot because, let's face it, it's one of the big tropes in the mafia world. The story itself lacked originality. After reading the Saint and Sinner series I expected to fall in love with the Costa Nostra and their brotherhood. It's apparent Michelle tried to recreate the priesthood just in a different world and unfortunately it fell flat to me. Angelo is the mmc and honestly quite boring. I can't say whether or not I liked him because his character didn't stand out to me. He was obsessed with Vittoria because of her innocence and virginity which after reading a thousand times over throughout the book was redundant. Vittoria reminded me a lot of Kira from the second Sinners book which was my least favorite. She had no personality. She was honestly just there to praise God and do what she was told. The sex scenes were decent enough but a little repetitive. I did like the side characters, but wish we got a little more details on them. Big Ricky and Tiny, were they young? Middle aged ? Old? For them to be in the entire book their characters should've been described more. Also the step brother giorgio ( or whatever ) why was he such an important part of throughout the book only die because Angelo was mad at another situation? Of course he deserved to die but I expected a little more action between him and Angelo and Vittoria. The entire uncle storyline felt rushed and honestly felt like it was just thrown in there to create some sort of drama. We also hear the name Victoria thrown around quite a few times but never brought into the story. Overall I am quite disappointed with the first book of Michelle's new series. Again I was expecting to be thrown into the mafia world she creates so beautifully but it just didn't happen this time around. I haven't decided if I'm going to continue this series or not. I felt as though Michelle wrote this book on a whim and didn't put much into it. I hate to be that harsh but it is what it is. Also insta-lust/love which I don't care for. One more thing before I finish this lengthy review is the obsession Angelo had with Vittoria innocence and virginity was not only odd repetitive but odd to say the least. Can we please get an mmc who doesn't treat their wive like a child !? Rant over. Enjoy the book because I sure didn't.

very good
This is a good book if you like a mild mafia with not a whole lot of violence or graphics. It’s not super spicy it has a little kick to it but again very little graphics but still really good. A good starter magus/spicy book before you jump full force into SPICY!!!

4.5 Stars. Loved it!
This is the first of Heard's Kings of Mafia Series. Each book is a standalone. If you love a story where the big bad alpha is a sweatheart to his woman, then you'll love this one.The MMC, Angelo Rizzo, is a mafia boss, ruler of one of the 5 NY families. He has a reputation for being brutal, showing no mercy to those who owe him, steal from him, or betray him. But with his woman....he's a different man. She, Vittoria, is the light to his dark; an innocent, heavily involved with her church, always helping others. But since her father's death, she's suffered abuse from the step brother, a small time mafioso. She's learned not to trust mafia men, especially those with brutal reputations.Vittoria's hopes to get away from the mafia life are ruined when she's forced into an arranged marriage in order to pay a debt her brother owes. Though Angelo treats her with kindness, it's hard for Vittoria to trust, though he does shows patience. But just when she's finally developing feelings for him, beginnng to trust him, he is betrayed by someone he trusted and the results puts her in a precarious position. Certain she won't be believed and could possibly killed before her husband even gets back, she flees for her life. (Don't worry, he finds her, and yes, when he was told what happened, he didn't believe the lies..he knew his wife. I love that he never doubted her even before she told her side of the story.)This is a story about falling in love and learning to trust, about believing in someone. It's about the monster being in your corner to protect you. It was sweet, exciting and the transition to love believable. Loved the characters and the story. 4.5 stars

Hit the spot.
I saw an ad on FB for this book under a different name and had to get my hands on it. It seemed like a good Mafia book and I got almost everything I could ask for. Tori is a super sweet innocent girl and Angelo had to have her. He comes off as all cold and ruthless and scares her to pieces. But as time goes on she realizes he cares. He is the dang sweetest to his “little deer” and tries so hard to earn her trust and affection. I loved their dance around one another. We do get some ruthless mafia type scenes. The only thing I wanted more was a scene where he has to legit save her. I don’t want to spoil it but he kind of does and doesn’t. I was very happy with the end but I’m a sucker for damsel scenes. It’s a touch her and die but I just wish it went a bit further. Loved them. I read this in half a day.

Book by another name
I came across this book on Facebook advertising it on one of the pay to read chapter apps I'm so glad I managed to find it. As I wasn't willing to pay the app prices but this book would of been worth it. It's very well written and has some lovely twists and turns. First time for me with this author I will be reading more if her stuff.

A marvellous journey
Vittoria and Angelo share a different kind of journey that started on the basis of his will to own her and ended up being converted into a version of love people crave to have. The twists, the romance quotient and every gesture they shared was amazing. The highlight being how Angelo believes her over the world and stands by her side. Also the way he has a soft spot for his people makes him stand apart. I loved Vittoria's sunshine vibes. Read this book in a go and enjoyed it a lot.
