Q: How do you take it apart to clean the filter?

I used a scissor blade to get between the top and bottom by the clip Not easy but since I need to clean it once a day it has become easier

Q: Are there replacement sponges for the filter that are sold?

I haven't seen any. I used to just wash the sponge and place it back in. The problem I had is that it'd only last about 2 weeks in a crawl tank before the sponge would get saturated with gunk and block itself
