It doesn't have a totally firm body, you can smash it with your fingers. The corners are very firm though. I got it to hold a very large power bank I've had for years. I like this case for it because it fits well and there is room for the cords.

This case is designed well and built to a high grade. The quality of the materials used are excellent, and the assembly specs are spot on. Nothing's a miss. I tested the fit of several different calculators, including a TI-30Xa, TI-30XIIS, and the largest of all, a TI-30XS. Each slipped into the main compartment without issue. And the elastic band held them securely in place. The mesh pocket on the other side has good stretch, enough to accommodate cables, etc. But the quality is responsive, allowing it to return to its original shape when the compartment is empty. In other words, no sagging. Importantly, when the case is closed, the two halves don’t collapse under modest pressure, or shift position due to a weak zipper fit. Of course, there is some give in the middle of the case, when it's empty. But in my opinion, the panels are sufficiently rigid to protect the contents. The last bit to mention, the zipper, is of excellent quality; it rides smoothly along the track.Although this hard case is being marketed for calculators, the storage space will accommodate other objects of similar size. For example, my wife uses it to store her iPod (main compartment) and Airbus (in the mesh pocket). The only possible downside that I see is that the interior has no padding. However, I’m not so sure it’s really necessary, considering how rigid the exterior panels. Overall, this is a top quality case. And the price, $14.99 (plus 10% savings coupon) at the time of order, is reasonable. I definitely recommend.
