I have previously used the Flume 2 system for a while and it is a great system but it does have some limitations. Specifically, while Flume tracks water usage by being strapped to a compatible water company supplied meter, it allows no water flow control. By contract the YoLink FlowSmart All-in-One installs inline with your house main water pipe and this provides a lot more functionality, including automatic water shutoff in case of a leak (using a leak sensor), manual shutoff during water repairs in the home, water temperature to make sure your pipes do not freeze, timers to schedule the valve to open and close as desired so it can be used for irrigation and pool fill, etc... You can schedule alerts for all the features to minute detail. The YoLink FlowSmart All-in-One is indeed VERY versatile and coupled with the amazing long-distance YoLink LoRa bridges it has a range of over 1/4 mile! The unit is internal battery operated but the batteries are supposed to last many years so it's very worry free. The fittings come in several dimensions and use standard NPT thread. Support is outstanding and they will bend over backwards to ensure satisfaction as I can personally attest, even in cases where there is nothing wrong with the product. Depending on your homeowner insurance, you may even get a discount if you let them know you have automated water shutoff installed!

I already have a YoLink shut off device installed on my main house line, and a separate smart water meter device, but if this new Flowsmart device had been available I could just have used this all in one device! Anyway, I bought this one to install on the line that feeds my swimming pool. Now, not only do I know exactly how much water my pool consumes, I can control that from the mobile app.One of the reasons I got into YoLink was that their devices don't rely on wifi, instead they use LoRa, a long range and low power protocol that means that the battery consumption is miniscule, and you their devices will work all over your house and yard, where wifi typically has black spots. Yes, you do need a YoLink hub but you only need one of those, and then you can connect as many YoLink devices as you need.I'm up at 42 different YoLink devices now. I hope that tells you how good their products are and how happy I am with them. Most of those are leak detectors, all over my house, under sinks and behind toilets. Yes, this exactly cheap, but the damage and disruption and expense of a water leak in your home can cause tens of thousands of dollars of damage. I've spent less than my insurance excess and it's money well spent for peace of mind.Anyway, the Flowsmart is the typical, high quality hardware that you expect from YoLink, and in their mobile app you have a million different ways to control the device. You can set schedules, countdown timers, set alerts on consumption or duration, and of course pair it up with leak detectors to automate shut off in the event of any water leak being detected.Really the only downside of this device is you need to do some plumbing to install it. In my case I connected it to a PVC line outside, but I could have hired a plumber. Depending on how your pipes are configured it's no more than 1 or 2 hours work. If DIY or hiring a pro is not something you want to do, YoLink has other shut off devices that can be installed by anyone in about 20 minutes with no plumbing required. The thing that you won't get with those though is they don't include water meter capability.I mentioned that I already had a separate water metering device, so I compared the usage recorded from the Flowsmart to the usage recorded on the whole house meter and the numbers were very close, just 1% to 2% difference between them.The fact you get both a shut off device, and a water meter all in one for around $250 is incredible. I happily recommend YoLink products without hesitation.

My insurance company required me to install a water shutoff system to renew my home insurance policy and recommended either the Moen or YoLink system. I chose the YoLink All-in-One Ultrasonic Water Meter because it was much more affordable, and I'm so glad I did! A plumber helped me install it, and the setup was very easy. I love that it doesn’t require an external power supply—the built-in battery is said to last over 10 years.This product not only meets my insurance company’s requirements but also provides me with detailed water usage data, showing how much water I use each time, as well as daily and monthly totals. I can even set maximum water usage and running time to prevent leaks. Now, I don’t have to worry about water damage anymore. It's a great product, and I can control my entire house’s water supply from anywhere using my phone. Highly recommend!

I am a big YoLink fan and have 30+ devices in my home. I was very happy to see a YoLink flow meter and ordered it right away. The installation and setup was easy. One area for improvement would be the built in LCD screen. If the meter is installed vertically, the screen will be upside down (if the flow and orientation instructions are followed). If the unit is installed horizontally, the screen will be rotated 90 degrees. But since the app gives you the same information, you probably won't be using the LCD screen on the meter anyways. So I would still definitely recommend the meter.One other suggestion for a future revision would be to add a water pressure sensor. It is probably not easily done, but would make this unit absolutely perfect.

Great water meter with integrated shutoff valve. Installation was easy. Very customizable. No connectivity issues. After using for several weeks I can attest its accuracy. Works with HomeAssistant through Yolink Integration.

I have been using Yolink products for a few years now and the new additions always amaze me! This new water meter/valve filled an important need for me. It is one of the few out there that can be used on a 1/2 inch line. I am using it to control and monitor my pool level auto feed valve. Now I know exactly how much water is going specifically into the pool and if something should go wrong I can instantly shut the feed off! The set up was its usual seconds and it worked right away. I have already recommended to a friend for the same exact purpose. I am a big fan of Yolink and have it controlling and monitoring many things inside and outside of my home.
