For the price great. Took a minute to figure out how to get the cover off it but once I did, it actually works better because it has a lock. My old remote actually broke, and I had to use an elastic to keep it on this one has like a lock on it, but you have to push it in and slide it up.

This remote doesn't function well. It doesn't recognize every button push, sometimes requiring 2-3 pushes to actually respond, but then it recognizes the button push as many and scrolls through the entire menu in one or two presses of the button. Not consistent and not with saving a few bucks.

The remote “works” but there is either a lag or no response from the Shield unit itself.I do like that the battery cover is now locked in so that it no longer slips off.

Shield Remote Control - Don't waste your time.The most annoying aspect of this remote is the LAG between pressing a button and the Shield recognizing the button press - which leads to unexpected behavior that is endlessly frustrating.It is very cheaply made and after just a few days, the center pad button is already failing.A relatively minor annoyance is that whenever a button is pressed it emits an audible high pitched squeal (likely caused by the LEDS.) I'm not sure if everyone is capable of hearing it as it's basically the same noise emitted by CRT televisions - some people can hear it and some can't. If you're one of the people that can hear it, it'll bug you.Spend a few extra bucks and get the original, you'll be very glad you did.

love the remote control but can not control volume up or down on my tv. Test good during IR sit up but that's it. During regular use there is no control for volume up or down.Updated: 7/7/24 So I seen some other instructions on a different remote that I tried. The volume control is working now but its a little different than original remote. But it does work well. Still love the back lit buttons. They need better instructions on setting up the volume control

All is working great.

Returned 1st one, Second one the IR still doesn't function properly. My Original Shield remote's IR works as expected. Other that that it works fine.
