Worked like a charm keeping my greenhouse warm over the winter

Easy to program. Works fine. But does not have back light as picture suggests. No big deal if you have lamp or flashlight handy. All in all, a good unit for the money.

Some identical looking controllers don't include backlighting. I have 2 controllers and the one without the backlight feature can be a hard to see in many lighting situations.

The listing describes this controller having a backlight display but the one received does nothave a lighted display. An identical looking device from an alternate vendor does have thebacklight function. Evidently there are two options with backlight display or without backlight,and I was sent the unlighted display version even though the listing describes a lighted version.

Was of good quality but all I wanted was a simple on off for cooling this thing is much more for a hot house which will control temp and humidity and a bunch of timing events.

This has worked perfectly to regulate the temperature in our dog house. We have it hooked up to a cheap, window unit that we through wall mounted. It's not thermostat controlled, so we needed a way to regulate it throughout the day.We set an on and off temperature about 4 degrees apart, and it shuts off for 5-10 min at a time, and picks right back up where it left off.Keeps our dogs nice and cool during the hot months

Miscalibrated, off by 15 degrees F. Other than that it works fine.

This controller works well and is a cost-effective gadget for controlling temperature where needed in your home, fermentation chamber, sous vide, terrarium, etc.With a rated amperage of 15A/1800W, it should be able to drive just about any heating/cooling load you want to use it with.It has a few different modes. The main mode of course is just control to a constant, set temperature. However, unlike most controllers, instead of a single setpoint, it allows (requires, actually) you to set both the "turn-on" and "turn-off" temperature. (To explain further, on/off thermostats which use a single temperature don't actually control to that exact temperature, but instead allow the temperature to vary up or down by a small degree, known as the "guardband". This guardband is usually set by the manufacturer.) This controller effectively allows you to control guardband, so you can maintain the temperature between, say, 70° and 80°, or 75° and 80°, or 79.9° and 80°. Note that if the guardband is set too small, your heating and cooling device will be frequently turning on and off, which could lead to excessive wear and tear on relays, etc. This controller lets you avoid that.This controller also has a few timer modes - you can set it to turn on/off on a cycle (maybe for Christmas lights, etc.). You can set it to turn the output on, after some delay. You can set it to turn off, after some delay. You can set it to turn on after some delay, and then on after another delay. Not sure how useful these modes would be.It has a backlight you can turn on or off; very handy for some locations.The controller can be calibrated, which is a nice feature which not many in this price range have.All in all, a great controller for the price.
