Misleading but good quality
I bought this so I could sharpen my knives but it does not really do that well. The product info is misleading. It only sharpens the edge of your knives ONLY if your knife is already sharp and not blunt as it only hones the edge. However if you are looking for a honer it works well although it could be longer. It’s built well too and I don’t see it coming apart. The handle is comfortable and easy to hold. It’s pretty hard to use as you have to keep the honing steel straight and maintain the angle between your knife and the steel or it won’t work. For the price, I would Recommend it if you are looking for a knife honer and not a sharpener, but it should be longer in my opinion.

Not That Good.
First off get yourself a magnifying glass to read the instructions if you need to.I did not get this for my main sharpener as I already have one that cost a lot more than this. I requested this one for when we travel as we tend to stay in villas and the quality and the sharpness of the knives provided can sometimes be really bad and I thought this would be ideal as it is small and portable and can just be chucked in the case.I did test it though with an old kitchen knife I had in a drawer. I wetted the suction cup and stuck it to the worktop, must say it held very well throughout. The first thing I just pulled the knife through the sharpener with just the weight of the blade and no pressure from me and I could feel resistance, I done this a few times and it did remove a small amount of metal, I then used the ceramic side.I had some over ripe tomatoes in the fridge and that is always a good test, did the knife cut them? No. I went back and this time used a bit of pressure on the knife and boy did that produce some metal coming off the knife, not sure what angle my knife was at or what angle this is set to, but obviously they were not the same for that amount of metal. Long story short it still did not cut the tomato, run it through my usual sharpener and after a few strokes on course and then fine, it did.Am I going to use this in the kitchen? I don't think so, razor sharp my .... I will use it when travelling though as they will not be my expensive knives.I hope you found this review helpful.

Instructions unclear
I’m someone who likes good quality kitchen knives and the tools to keep them sharp. Normally with a sharpening rod , you stick it out in front of you in your non dominant hand and then holding a knife against it at 30 degrees strike away from you quickly, covering the whole length of the knife. Then, swop hands and do the other side. But I just don’t get the weird instructions in this which seem to contradict normal knife sharpening practice. I’ve tried, it doesn’t seem to work and I’m not sure if I’ve damaged an expensive kitchen knife.
