Works great with a smaller chainsaw
I’m using this on small/medium logs with my dewalt 20v electric chainsaw (with upgraded 14” Oregon bar). I’m not sure I’d want to use this device with a big chainsaw with lots of torque and a long bar but with a smaller chainsaw and a sharp blade and taking my time (letting the saw do its job and not muscling it too hard) it’s getting exactly the cuts I was hoping for. Just make sure to properly tighten all the bolts before starting. I had to retighten the bolts on the guide that slides the device down a board after 5 minutes bc they weren’t tight enough with the vibrations and pulling of the saw and the guide started sliding out of alignment bc of it.

Makes cutting logs into posts easy!
Easy to use with a little prep of the log to get a clean surface to install the 2 x 4. Screw the 2 x 4 to the log, install the tool on the saw, and start cutting. Note to be sure you have enough overhang of the 2 x 4 on the log to run the tool to the end. Used it on some cedar logs that I had and made some great 4 x 4 cedar posts. Put down a tarp to catch the saw shavings and use them in the dog house! The only reason for the 4 star was the sides of the tool could be a little deeper to help hold it on the 2 x 4. Used this on a Husqvarna 450 with an 18" bar.

Mill Received, but was missing all hardware
*** Update ***The folks at Zihvfzu reached out to me shortly after I'd posted my original review. They indicated that my satisfaction was important to them and that they'd like to resolve my issues. I replied and indicated that I'd appreciate a replacement hardware kit. The folks at Zihfzu sent me an entire new full tool, not just the missing hardware. I have not had a chance to test the mill yet and it may be several weeks before I'm ready for that, but I did open up the sealed package and confirmed that the hardware was present in the replacement kit. I've decided to revise/increase my star rating based on the rapid, good faith response from the company. Once I've had a chance to actually use the mill I'll revise the review again with my milling experience.** Original Review **This review is for "Vertical Portable Chainsaw Wood Cutting Tool, Lumber Cutting Guide for Cutting Wooden Boards and Wood in Sawmill Factories", Zihvfzu Item model number YJKBJ001 (ASIN B0D4CFHV34). Title and ASIN are included in the review because sometimes reviews get re-sorted and are no longer associated with the correct product. The Zihvfzu chainsaw lumber cutting guide shipped quickly and was packaged reasonably in a cardboard box. Inside the shipping box the Zihvfzu kit was packaged in a brown cardboard box which was sealed shut on all edges with cellophane tape.I'm a hobbyist woodworker and for a number of years I've used an Alaskan chainsaw mill to turn logs into lumber. It's been maybe 15 years since I last milled a log, but I still own all of my equipment including 24in and 36in Alaskans, a guide plank, and both Stihl 066 and 084AV chainsaws for milling. Earlier this year I acquired a number of logs I'd like to mill but at this point it's July in central NC and we're seeing 100degF days so I'm waiting for the weather to turn a bit cooler before tackling this task. I picked up the Zihvfzu not to mill a final product. I'm thinking that I'll still use an Alaskan to cut my lumber. I want the Zihvfzu for cutting side cants off a log without having to rotate and re-dog the log for each side. This would potentially save me a lot of effort.I received the Zihvfzu in July, which for me is too hot to be milling lumber. So I waited a couple of months until the weather turned cooler before bringing out the mill. When I cur the tape and opened the box I found that the kit contained the mill, the L bracket for use with a 2x4, and a manual. The kit was missing all of the other hardware. No bolts, no nuts, no hex wrench. I'll emphasize that the box was sealed WITH TAPE so there's no chance that the hardware fell out, the hardware was never in this box. The mill isn't of much use without the hardware to attach it to chainsaw. I've got things to do on my Saturday other than try to find the parts necessary to put this thing together, so I'm going to have to give this a poor rating because I cannot even test it.At some point on a weekday evening I'll likely go through my parts bins and piece together the hardware necessary to use this mill, so that I can use it the next time I'm milling. If it works as intended I will revise this review describing how it went to actually use the mill.
