This windscreen is definitely thicker than the typical cheap windscreens you can order, so it should do better at limiting plosives. I don't think any windscreen can totally eliminate them if you are determined to speak directly into the mic at a couple of inches away from your lips. But using this windscreen, and keeping the mic at a 45 degree angle from your mouth, plosives should be a thing of the past.

I really like this windscreen. It helps block out some of the extra noises here in my gaming area. The fit is good and it nice and thick. I took a star off because it had a really awful smell when I took it out of the box. I aired it out for a couple of days and the smell went away thankfully.

I do music vocal and narrative voice production in my recording studio. I use a high-quality, large-diaphragm vocal mic for these productions and my foam windscreen gave up the ghost, so I got this one and it works better than the original one did so many years ago. I know these products well since I studied studio production in Nashville, (Belmont), and am associated with those people who produced the Bee Gees, CSNY, and the television theme for 'Cops' ....A wind screen is an important part of voice recording and I don't like those cumbersome attached screens or those 'mini vocal booth' things. A windscreen is meant to deflect 'plosive' sounds that are caused by the wind pushed out when we clearly pronounce the 'P' consonant sound directly at the mic's diaphragm. This one makes a clear difference!Verdict:GET ONE FOR EVERY MIC!

This windscreen fits my microphone perfectly and appears to be made of good quality materials. I'm using an old AKG Perception 200.

Fits my mic perfectly (not the Rode PodMic). Definitely helps block out some extra sound in the house. It is a little big for our liking.

This pop filter uses similar material to the hakan type typically used for studio condenser microphones. It is nearly transparent acoustically and very durable. I think it is a bargain as it greatly reduces plosives and does not negatively impact captured audio. I tried to capture the texture in the photo (it is a much heavier weight than typical foam filters that are found online. Very highly recommended as it makes a big difference!

. . . and your mic doesn't even have to be a Rode to work with this.Do yourself a favor and get two so when you are cleaning one you will have a dry one to use.

The media could not be loaded.  This is exactly what my PodMic needed. This helps clean up plosive, and breathing sounds. I'm a huge fan of the the PodMic, and it great sounds great, but, I always felt that the internal pop filter wasn't quite enough. This Sound Addicted foam cover helps with the issues I was having. It comes uncompressed, which is a plus. The foam is thick, and feels like a premium product. At first, it was a bit snug going on, however it does loosen up slightly with a little with use. I used a twisting motion to put it on, so I don't risk tearing the foam. I highly recommend this for the PodMic.
