THE KVM itself is small and compact taking minimal desk space, however I would highly recommend using an under-desk mounting solution for the sake of cable management and using the included remote switch. Additionally, I like the included switch button as it has a nice silicone texture and comes with a decently long cable. It's small size means that you should plan for a mounting solution for the switch as it will easily be knocked aside in daily use, I personally used half a command strip. It is also worth noting that like with ANY KVM, if you are running high resolution video out of both monitors for a very long period, the chipset will need some ventilation as it will heat up with the data processing. From what I can tell, this switch does not have an internal fan, but it doesn't really need one if placed in a well-ventilated area. Performance wise, there is little to no noticeable speed reduction from inputs, I was able to Run Star Citizen at 2K resolution with no noticeable input lag from mouse or keyboard peripherals.
